It's interesting to hear that they filmed it all in Italy, although it was set in Alabama, USA. To me, the scenery and the film as a whole seemed to take place in a strange world halfway between Europe and the US. It was disconcerting and confusing! The orphanage building, the town and the shops looked European, but the school looked somewhat American. I know that the book was written by an Italian author, but set in Alabama, so they were following that... I kind of wish that both the book and film had been set in Italy. Mi piace tanto l'Italia 💚🤍❤
