Looks good but the top of the warp nacelles never lit up blue on either ship. Only the front of the enterprise-b nacelles lit up blue , as for the excelsior the nacelles didn't have any lights at all. In ds9 during refits for the dominion war the excelsior class nacelles where the gray grills are on the side were changed to light up blue like other tng ships, the miranda class also had that change
Man i hate this video. Not because it looks bad. Quite the opposite. It looks to good! I believe this is how the warp nacelles of the Excelsior class look like. Keep the grills black, and the top lit up, like the Enterprise E. And now i am torn. I still have the "better" Enterprise B kit. But how will i light it up? Will i make it screen accurate or will i make it look right? You my friend have given me an impossible decission to make! Obviously well done!
Like @Eric Mooney said; But I Prefer the Necelles on Excelsior to Light up Blue On Top like the Sovereign Because it's just the right amount of Lighting and Not Overdone with Blueness LoL plus it just looks better
Hi Mac. Asked this over on the SFMA boards but asking over here as I know you can be busy. How did you get the strobes onto the fins at the end of the nacelles?
Hi Iain! This was a delicate task! I put a small LED inside the warp engine and completly lightblocked it. I then used, I think .5mm fiber optices (FO) to run them to the end of the enigne. For putting them in the fins, I cut the fins in half where theFO would be. I put the fins on each side of the FO and put putty over the exposed part of the FO and sanded it flat. Here is a link to my Facebook page to the build process. About 1/3rd of the way down, you will see what I am talking about. facebook.com/pg/cmhhobbies/photos/?tab=album&album_id=826502370829604
Well done, excellent results.
This is absolutely beautiful!!!!
Nicely done.
you did a great job mate ...look amazing
Very well done. Honestly though, on the Excelsior, that deflector dish looks properly lit; strong vibrant blue.
Fantastic A+ work
Very well done, especially with the lights. I'll look forward to the pics on SFMA. Nick
+nkaltso Thanks! I have a whole bunch on the forum!

Thank you! It's always a tuff choice to make it screen accurate or right. I always just go with how i like it. Good luck with your build!
Nice work.
But the Navigation lights on the Enterprise B didn't blink on or off .
Thanks! I never really noticed that before. I will keep that in mind the next time I build this class of ship.
