Great video!! No idea you could use stinging nettle like that. I guess that evil plant that always seems to get me has more uses except for brewing tea.
Congrats for the Sponsor, looking forward to your upcomming projects. Nice Video as always!
Oh and for the tinder stuff, I saw a lot of Bushcrafters which used different tipes of grease or a lard (they dipped the tinder materials slightly) to get better results, maybe that's an option, at least for personal experiments.
Thank you! The next sponsored video will hopefully be a part 2 of: "top 5 medieval beginner projects" ;) . Burgschneider's very good for starters :).
To dip the tinder in grease or lard will only make them burn longer, but that doesn't help to get them to the burning point or to catch a spark. grease or lard basically works like wax while having a lower melting, evaporating and burning point. Maaaaayyyyby if they already would be in a aggregate state of gas you could re ignite them with flint and steel, but that's it ;)
Love your videos. So honest and fun. Thank you.
I really love your brother’s enthusiasm when he asks questions.
Sometimes you speak with your mouth full, which made it a bit difficult to understand your English, but it was still o.k.
Overall, a great video, pleasant to watch.
Yeeeayy another one! Love your content, the shields are stunning.
Good video!
Love the mosquito sounds your microphone was catching now and then! Realistic background sounds, very immersive 😄 Greetings from Scandinavia! Great interesting video!
thanks! to be honest, it's only real recorded 2 times. But they practically where everywhere all the time... so I added the sound effect while editing to a realistic level XD.
Have you ever used brambles for making rope? Works better then nettles and you have so much longer fibers. Just snap a long branche, take done the thorns and then proceed like with the nettles.
I planed to try that but there where none on location :(((((((. Maybe it's a bit to early in the year?
Side dish? 😂😂😂😂
It seems that the "24h" in the title scares the viewers away, as it sounds very long "to watch". Maybe trying "Bushcraft with Medieval Gear - How Hard Is It?"
Thanks for the suggestion; I am still experimenting with different titles and the "24h" is not unusual for bush craft video titles. In addition you can see the length of suggested videos in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail.
But as I said, I'm still experimenting, so I'll give your suggestion a try from now for 1 or two days. Thanks!
Eh; didn't make a difference; after thinking about it in the back of my head I'll go back on my first Idea about a DIY channel doing Bush-craft ... :/
Great video! I especially like you showing not only your achievements but also your shortcomings with such great humour. Big „thumbs up!“ 😂😁
