Only using Right stick player relative switching instead of LB has turned me into an elite defender. If you can master switching players your game will improve by miles.

@@eamonv881 late reply but if you aim towards a player keep aiming with the left stick towards that player until they get the ball. If you aim at a player and move the L stick in a different direction it will mess up the initial direction of the pass. Same thing was happening to me
Player switching is worse this year. Ball relative is better so an easy flick to the right puts you on the player closest to the ball and it’s easy. I used player relative last year and it feels like ball relative this year
@@byxisboii5397 it has pros and cons, manual you’ll get rinsed in the box when they turn, but then they can run past you easier when not on Manual, either way the other settings helped too
if u put pass receiver to early you can surprise ur opponent by sprint touching the ball and shooting. since no body has it on early, u can catch ur opponents off guard many many times since they are not used to facing someone with it. i can never go back to late, and been winning way more games.
Move assisting makes actually sense BUT it depends against who you play. If you play against a player with 500 passes a game its not useful but if you play against a guy who lets his wingers make the run its way better to make that on
I have a question, for the NEXT PLAYER INDICATOR, if it's turned on , don't you think that the opponent can easily predicted the player you switch next? I play when it's switched off but it is very tricky, but I'll take your advice and see if it will make a difference
#1 in fifa Analog sprint ON ...this feature is the most ignored feature and its been there since fifa 11 ... ur R2 is now the pedal gas of a car. How hard u press the R2 determines how fast u run... with it off ull always notice the player give a slight knock on animation which is what u DO NOT WANTT!

Good luck and seriously dont pay attention to those who say this is garbage.. ull be loosing the ball alot less while still being able to sprint at a adequate speed.
@@daviddavid7032 when u "jockey" replace that word by defensive stance ...when holding r2 and l2 your in a defensive stance still but ur a lil faster... i would have it off... you don't want the game slowing down your player for you.. you control the pace of ur defensive stance and you choose when to activate it by holding L2 when not in possession of the ball... this can be done with any player. Also turn agile dribbling off, again you don't want the game pressing (R1-agile dribbling) for you at random (timed) moments. all these settings will give you more control of your player. It's crazy that EA won't let you customize bumper and triggers differently for defending and attacking. I'd very Muchblike to switch players using A when defending, but changing buttons affects both attacking and defense settings

@@hamidman6974 Yes I know exactly what the problem is! Sorry for the late reply. Try delaying the second press of R2 a little. So try pressing R2, then wait a fraction of a second and then press it again. It will work consistently then. I think the is due to the R2 being an analogue trigger instead of a button. So the exact moment when it registers the trigger as a button press is somewhere half-way through pressing it all the way down. This makes it more difficult to press it twice in a short period of time. Hope this helps!
through ball assistance is broken this year, every assisted through ball for attacking when the striker/receiver isn't in line with the defenders screws up
Definitely right stick switching is worse this year.... the amount of times I’ve wanted to switch to a CB to watch a run and it gives me a full back or CDM at times

I have strongly so much with defending while doing right stick switching it doesn't happen fast enough or directly to the player I want. Would leaving auto switching move assistance on high correct this. I normally do L1 switching but I find right stick switching in defensive situation more affective but for some reason it feels very strange on fifa 21. Appreciate your response bro
Very good video, but i disagree with some, specially the analog sprint. Analog sprint off jeopardise control and oriented control of the ball and dribbling. A better control when recieving the ball is much more important than a faster milisecond sprint. Also in terms of stamina analog sprint is less demanding.

It may have something to do with the preset controls. Next time you go into the game and it has you assign your controller make sure it says classic under the controller and if it doesn't use the triggers to change it back
pls help!!! i play on ps4 and in training or kick off i can play like i always have you know where the slide tackle is done by the square the long smooth shot is done by the triangle and so on but when i then play a game in my career it's all twisted so the slide tackle is o normal stand tackle is square and the long smooth shot is at x and this just happend over night i didn't do anything and i've tried literally everything to change it back but nothing works has this happend to others?
What did you mean by what you said regarding the manual shooting? I'm no pro or anything but I use manual shooting and find it goes where I aim? I just personally found it too unrealistic in the past with assisted shooting as you could almost score from anywhere, with it being especially easy to score finesse shots from outside the box (not sure if this has been changed).. Again I'm no pro, and I'm not fighting you on what you said, I'm just not sure I understand what you meant?

Hey I do think that auto shots is very useful because if you ever has a moment when you cross a ball in and the character you're controlling doesn't get it but the winger on the other side does he can just take the shot rather than you having to take a touch which can give the gk or defender time to recover and block the shot

the settings only reset if changes were made during a game and not in the game menus... sign out and in of psn account load up fifa switch ur settings to what you want IN THE MENUS BEFORE STARTING ANY GAME.... join a game (quick kick off to be quick) then exit ... look if the settings have reset to default if they havnt start another game to ensure they wont rechange again during a game.. exit and look again if nothing has changed its fixed.. hope this helped

you can only play tactical defending in all online modes...legacy can only be used in offline modes

For some reason my circle button is now slide tackle and it used to be square and I do not know how to change it back what do I do ?

The position you move the stick is were your player is facing
Eg. If your going right you hold up to ball roll left and down to go right

That usually only happens if both controllers are connected to the same profile.. Log the guest controller with its own profile
