What a stunner man! It's blows my mind how nature (with the help from you and the Cab King) can create such amazing works of art. Awesome video Taylor per the usual.
Thank you for this video and revealing this beautiful stone!! 🤩 I can't get over the 3D effect I bet you can spend literally hours just gazing at this and getting lost in the maze of hundreds of focal points!!
Great shape and a beautiful polish. I like the way the stone undercut the iron. You are getting really good. Keep the goodness coming. Be happy, safe and stay healthy. 🎂⚒
That was amazing! I love that material also and that cab was gorgeous! So beautiful. The shape was perfect and it was perfect for maximizing the use of this material. Great job Taylor!
Enjoyed? Yes. Almost beyond measure. I feel the closeups were some of the best views I’ve ever witnessed of any stone or mineral. Great work on coaxing that out from the rough!
I especially appreciate your holding the finished rock steady, Taylor. I can't ever remember getting seasick in my whole life, but more than once--watching people demonstrate their finished projects and moving the object up-down-back-forth-etc. I've thought, "Better get a waste basket!"
That is some amazing material. Such a beautiful stone. I hopefully will make it back up that way this year to do some more rockhounding. That's a beautiful cabochon.
I made a living as an artist in everything but welding. I love rocks, who doesn't and if they don't, they are WRONG! lol I really like this channel and just now you said the back won't be shown on a piece of jewelry but you can be wrong. I have made twirling cab holders and there are flip ones by silver smiths, both ways, one a cage and the other an open back frame shows the whole stone. I hope you keep going at this, you know so much and are so kind in your delivery! Have a blessed day!
I love , love, love the finished cab. But I have to say, I truly appreciate now, the time,, work and investment in your equipment just to make one small cabochon. TY
I love your videos. I thought I would thank some of my favourite TH-camrs. I'm an armchair rockhound. I can't actually go myself because a stroke has left me partially disabled and affected my balance, but I do enjoy it vicariously through you and others.
I do have a few pieces of this stuff and all sorts of "Banded Iron Formations". There one of my favs and when I go out to Rock Hound I look for those like I do Agates lol. Very beautiful. ❤️👑🌎🛐✝️ I CANNOT wait to tumble mine.😁
Wow, what a beauty! By the way, if you can, remember those fire agates from Saddle Mountain? I wonder if you can do one with some red/orange color with white banding. I’m so curious how it’ll look. That would be awesome! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful babies.
That's amazingly beautiful material. You ever see any binghamite? I think that comes from Minnesota. Looks like petrified wood and tiger-eye had an iron baby.
It is one gorgeous piece! I love all of the colors in it. I do have a question for you. I notice you use an extra water source on the first wheels of your machine. Can you explain why? I was just interested in knowing.
I just watched a video by Phil on theopalmills channel and he was showing this piece of oolitic opal. He had to take it to a geological office to have it identified for him. It's black and I know that a lot of opal forms in and on iron stone. He's in Australia. So, I just heard about oolitic fossils and now I have heard about it twice.
I like but I was just wondering if you think it might be a meter. To check to see if it's magnetic use a magnet 🧲 if it sticks to it. It very well be a meter.
Hi there, great video!! I am curious do you sell any rough that you have gone out and found, I really would like a piece of the oolitic ironstone jasper to make a cab of, that stuff is cool!
So I have an Etsy store but I haven’t listed anything yet and may or may not be adding stuff to it in the future. When I do, I will post the Etsy store link
Varies by skill of cutter, hardness of stone, size of stone, and degree of polish you want. Small turquoise, 20 mins. Larger and harder, maybe an hour. Watch Lapidary Dave cutting live every evening to see how quick it can be. Pro cutters claim 30+ stones a day.
@@AgateDad I got a leegol tumbler as a gift and it works okay but the barrels absolutely suck. The gaskets don’t last and the covers bend easily. You really have to work to put them on and use a small prying device to get them off. Thanks to you my rocks look like glass when they are done. I’m going to see if I can use loritone barrels on my tumbler. Those barrels are a little softer than the hard plastic ones I have.
There are legit faces in full detail of a woman and an older man with a beard o. The first close up of the CAB. If you look closely you can see them In the grey spots like pencil sketches. This blowing me away

That's gorgeous. Love this stone. It's out of this world.

It's such an interesting stone that I could count the circles all day! Impressive Mother Earth does it again!
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: What a breath taking stone! 👌 You have a really nice lapidary shop! Beautiful cab!

Labor of love as they say ❤️
I can see why it's your favourite Jasper..... Stunning 🥰
This is fabulous! I've seen you polishing a whole lot of rocks, and this is one of my favorites.
Beautiful cabochon, best way to set that is with an open back bezel setting
Beautiful! I didn't know we could find those things in Minnesota. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open! 😊
Buddy, you're gaining mad skills!!
I appreciate that!
A friend gave me several cabs of this material. I love it

Agate Dad, you have the most beautiful manicures 😊
That’s funny, I usually get criticized for nail biting 🤣
Beautiful stuff it reminds me of Dino gem bone 🍻
Totally!
Can't wait 🙂
Hello Agate Dad, you can find charts on shapes! The shape resembles a Rhombus. Beautiful work!!!
That's amazingly beautiful material. You ever see any binghamite? I think that comes from Minnesota. Looks like petrified wood and tiger-eye had an iron baby.
I have yet to find any! I sure hope to!

W O W. Beautiful 😮
Fantastic finished piece!❤ Coming from a medical background tho, it looks like a REALLY BAD looking blood specimen slide under a microscope😅😂
Oooohh...lit....ic....love it!😮
very pretty
A strange rock, never seen anything like that. But it went out gorgeous
Right?!
That’s awesome
Another new and unique stone to me its a beautiful piece I hope to own @ome day❤❤❤😅😊
Greetings from the BIG SKY.
I like but I was just wondering if you think it might be a meter. To check to see if it's magnetic use a magnet 🧲 if it sticks to it. It very well be a meter.
A meteorite? Definitely not.
WOW!!! I live 45 mins south of Pittsburgh, Pa. Can I find stones worth cutting here?
That was different. I see rocks with a similar look, but different colors. Are they the same?
Nice rock Taylor. I enjoy every one of your videos. I'll try to find the same rock 🪨😊
From Jordan
Gorgeous
☺️

Um fóssil?
Mineral :)
Cool! Nice work. How long does it generally take to cut a cab? I hear a lot of different things from other channels. Good video!

👍👍
When it’s finished if you were selling it, how much would you sell it for?
I have no idea, at least $50 due to its rarity
That is amazing. I saw in one of your shorts that you were using a tumble bee tumbler. How do you like it?
So far so good!
@@AgateDad I got a leegol tumbler as a gift and it works okay but the barrels absolutely suck. The gaskets don’t last and the covers bend easily. Wow
❤❤oolitic jasper❤❤
That shape is a Parallelogram
Awesome stone. Is there anyway I could get some Oolitic Ironstone Jasper. A supplier?
No idea who would supply it if they could ever find it lol
I heard you say it still looks pretty good. You should have just cut one side. It looked cooler before you cut it. Oh well. 😂😂😂
It turned out better than the original shape would have. Thanks!
I'm just being a Karen Agate Dad. Save the rocks!! Lol.... j
You have really nice material btw...
You do good work keep it up.
🤔 Is it magnetic?
There are legit faces in full detail of a woman and an older man with a beard o. The first close up of the CAB. If you look closely you can see them In the grey spots like pencil sketches. This blowing me away
Could you please put a digital wallpaper photo up for sale?
I could do that
Here you go! agate-dad.creator-spring.com/listing/oolitic-ironstone-jasper?_ga=2.121689419.1539947209.1680282926-1425949755.1680282926
Where can you get this type of jasper?
I found this in Northern Minnesota :)
Wow that is awesome I want to find some
😮جميل جدا استمر
Is it magnetic?
I'd assume so since theres iron in it but I havent tried it. The small amounts may not cause a pull though.
@@AgateDad You might be surprised!
