Some Americans hear Social Health Care and think Socialism, but not the same thing in the slightest. They've kinda been conditioned to think it is across all States.
Americans pay more in taxes into their health care than the UK for an example per capita. Then if you factor in the amount that Americans pay for health insurance and the not knowing if it/they will actually payout, also the around 400% markup of the medication and procedures that only Americans have to pay?
Also factor in the hypocratical oath that has kinda gone out of the window in the States to some degree.
I remember seeing adverts stating that Europe has death camps and such, not the case. If anything, America could bankrupt you if you can or can't pay.
So who or whom getting screwed over in these situations. Not a question, just a given.

I do think that filipino's have universal healthcare. It was introduced by Duterte, I believe.
the quality is a different matter though :) But at least, it's there. I'd get a private insurance though.
