I just wish we had more Bob Mortimer stories. I've watched each one so, so many times and still when any of them come up in these compilations (thank you, Banijay Comedy), I never skip it. He's just the most delightfully absurd, charming and hilarious guy, an absolute pleasure to watch.
Would so recommend listening to the audiobook of his autobiography! Filled with classic bob tales and if you listen with a beer you can pretend you are having a pint and a chat with him ha
What makes renting the horse story so good is the absolute comedic genius riffs the 3 of them were doing. This is on the same level with Robin Williams's riffs on cooking with Martha Stewart.
Davids example of the wombles descending on a freshly deceased man and relieving him of his belongings in seconds is, in my mind, just like the psychicpebbles bit with the children devouring a monkey like a pizza, or the smiling friends bit with the demon
Spoiler: 100 percent believed Greg was telling the truth about the bath. With most lies, even if you get it wrong, you can consider how it was told and see some of the cracks or thought processes that do make sense as a lie. With that one from Greg there is nothing to give it away, completely convincing.
The whole story about house being a booking error, then adding that he was blamed for it and then asked why he says it was because he booked the house, sounds so much like how a commedian tells a true story, especially on this show when they are trying to pass off a truth as a lie. Even his smirk as he said it was just like he was laughing to recall a real thing, which Greg does all the time when his story is true on this show.
I knew a black girl in high school with the name "Pretty", her actual name. I asked her why her parents named her that and she replied (paraphrasing, haven't been in high school in 30+ years), "My mother said when I was born the doctor said I was the ugliest baby he ever did see and so she named me 'Pretty' so no one would ever call me ugly again."
The German fellow was on QI and they did an old one about the Adopted German Baby, which I'd never heard, so it was hilarious. He had the joke down and got the punchline perfectly. Check it out.
Are the stories unbelievable when the other team believes them? I think not. Whoever made the title should get a dictionary and see what unbelievable means. Your thought process is inconceivable!
Lee annoys me on these, nearly always goes with his team but has an opposing view. If he’s right he makes a big deal of it after. If he’s wrong and the team gets it right nobody notices
I believed the Womble story because we had to give an example of a vertebrate animal in our year 12 biology exam and my friend panicked and wrote cyanobacteria
Nothing beats "The guy said, the guy was gone"
came to comment this LMAO

I, for one, agree with your sentiments 100%. I would love to sit down with the bloke and have a couple of beers and chat with him.
@@hcrun Oh man, that would be incredible, he really seems like great company to have a beer with. Same with Sean Lock (rest in peace Sean).

@@sazz7589 Oh, thank you, didn't know about it, I will! Laughed at the pretending to have a beer with him idea, so thanks for the laugh too, cheers!
I agree... Bob Mortimer is hilarious!!! WILTY should be on for an hour as 30 minutes isn't long enough.
Kevins horse story is the best. The look on Keelys face at the end is magic.

If theres ever a story which surpasses the horse story I'll be surprised (Bobs adventures get close, but Kevin comes first in my eyes)
I think the lost turtle story comes really close, it should have a similar status, and yet for some reason it gets forgotten a lot !
Totally agree. But when they all take the piss on Rob when he talks about being his own agent had me in tears from laughing so hard.
Lee's Chinese Cookbook is probably the one I've re-watched the most.
I thought Henning's "listed as a missing person" story was much funnier, in spite of the greater panel/audience reaction to Kevin's story.
No story competes with Kevin Bridges, a horse
OMFG “I think he looks low on potassium too” that story had me in stitches 😂😂
I cried over the horse story. Rhod Gilberts are close. I don't know why they ever doubt Bob. The more outrageous ,the more convinced I am.
Bob Mortimer is the only person I know that can make Lee Mac laugh like that!😂
"...a Bulgarian guy tryin' to speak English and two Scottish guys tryin' to speak English..." Brilliant!
I love Bob Mortimer so much ... his stories are just always so insane! 😂
Bob Mortimer and Kevin Bridges..... the best!
My favourite joke ever is "Reginald stands for power and honour, while delicious means very yummy"
*tasty
Miles in tears is priceless

According to Wikipedia, the "D." in Reginald D. Hunter's name stands for Darnell.
That is probably more common than delicious 😅
the bloody first clip, i can't take it😭😭😭😭
*yet*
don't worry, you'll get used to it in the end...
Your eye watered emojis reminds me of Michael Gambon's Top Gear interview😂

It never fails to baffle me that no one questions why Greg didn't sleep on the "Massive couch" lol
"why books?"
"it was back in the nineties, people were still reading."
😂
its 3am my girlfriend is asleep next to me and kevin just revealed the answer and i audibly gasped "amazing". goodnight

Lee is not just a UK treasure, he’s an American treasure.
30:32 had me dying of laughter😂😂
Delicious was the best! 😄😁😆🤣🤣🤣

Who is the hyperactive one next to Lee in the Wombles episode? He makes Lee look positively somnambulant.
Louis Spence 👍
Who's the woman with the womble story?
Katherine Parkinson, you may recognise her as Jen from The IT Crowd
You Mustafa Passport to go to Morocco

"plimsoll" is British for "slippers".
No they arent. Plimsoll is what you use as an infant at school to do PE. Slippers are what you use around the house. Nothing alike in any way.
No it isn’t.
I thought plimsoll was a sandshoe, now called sneakers.
No it isn't.
