They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What may seem an eyesore to one person, just might be a beautiful masterpiece to another. There are places beloved by communities and protected in the hearts of those that hold their memories of its tattered hallways and decayed rooms dear. This is the way that we feel when we explore places that have been forgotten by time. Left to rot and decay and only holding the silent whispers of what once was. We know that there are people out there with malicious intent toward these places that we venture into. It saddens us when we see the filth and destruction they leave behind, but we want to make something very clear… We are explorers and lovers of history. We in no way, shape or form condone the criminal activities that take place in the historical decaying places that we document. Social media has brought many of these places to the limelight, but the intention is to show the beauty and mystery of abandonment. Not to invite trouble. Trouble will find its way on its own and to say that the peaceful documentation of these places leads to criminal activity, is mind blowing. We have met so many amazing fellow explorers in our travels and are so thankful and humbled by the positive responses we have received. We know that this type of exploration is not for everyone…many people don’t understand why we find such beauty in decay, we can only explain it as a beautiful journey into the past. We invite you to watch our explores and come along as we visit these amazing places. As for the criminal activity that occurs, those individuals are responsible for their own actions. It is a terrible part of our society, but reality, nonetheless. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for loving this location just as much as we do. We hope that through this video, the memories held within will remain.
I used to explore around old estates and 18th C houses scheduled for demolition when I was a kid. It is fantastic what was so blithely discarded. .In California it is the old redwood resorts- they were magnificent(and hard to remove!) The huge timbers and stonework is now not even possible to build... why?
15:32 first rat 🐀 runs out under door 15:47 2nd rat 🐀 runs under the same door! 🤣 What a great location, so many cool things left behind. I still haven’t figured out how you got up in that chair lift seat Marcel! 🤔 I am guessing there was a ladder 🪜 around somewhere! Great explore, great to see you back Jen! 😃👍
Thank you Simon!! We didn't even see the rats until you mentioned it!! LOL This place had so much to see and it was so spread out!! We definitely got our exercise! Oh and BTW.....no ladder!!! lol
I skied many of days and nights at Brodie Mt. The mountain faced to the East and the first run of the day was always spectacular with the sun hitting you and reflecting off the fresh groomed snow. Many of the snow making devices were developed there like the snow Canon!!! Then Jimmy Peak purchased it to just shut it down to eliminate competition along with other areas like Snow Basin!!! I enjoyed the video with both memories and sadness, the Berkshires lost a wonderful spot for family skiing!!!

I got to see so much more of this amazing place. Marcel scaling that building was nerve racking but thank you for showing me/us what was up there. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Not bad graffiti level for sitting over 23 years. Great explore guys ☺️☺️☺️🥾🍃 ⛷
Thank you Marlo for giving us this location! It was such an amazing place to explore! We were both shocked though that there was only 1 condo building (if in fact they were condos). We would have thought there would have been a few more. Also we couldn't find a pool which is weird. Glad we got to see this place! Thanks again and stay safe out there!!! 🥾 🎿 ⛰ 😊

We left you a present on top of the fireplace in the building called “Canteen” (the building with the toys) Hopefully it’s still there and YES….you have to go!!! It’s so easy to get in!!!

It is truly like stepping back into time! If you are interested, you can start by visiting Atlas Obscura. There are many places that you can visit that have ruins and abandoned locations. Or...you can always come right along with us!! We would love to have you along on our adventures!
Where's the "Main Lodge" (Alpine style) that was a full 3 stories tall, with a BEAUTIFUL cocktail lounge / bar on the 3rd floor, which looked out of the large set of front "A-frame" windows, which were facing the main set of ski-trails coming down the mountain.?! Torn-down perhaps.?! The Kelly family (Brodie Mtn Ski) was a customer of mine for a number of years, and was their 2-way radio repair technician (Klein Communications) and would repair their Portable-radios (aka: "walkie-talkies") and install / repair the radios in their top-of-the-line "Piston-Bully" brand of snow-grooming machines, in that metal garage you were in, at the top of the road, to the right of that old, dilapidated wooden "lodge" you explored. I remember VERY well being allowed (as an "insider" with the family) to take a ride (with my "Date" to impress.!) to the top of the mountain and back down during one of their BIG St Patrick's Day (night-time) celebrations.!! :-) From about 1980 to 2007, my little one-man-show business (based in Stephentown / West Lebanon area) serviced just about every Motorola 2-way radio in both Berkshire County, MA and Columbia County, NY., before retiring, and moving here to north-central West "by god" Virginia.!! Thanks for the memories., sad as they may be., to see it all but gone now... :-(
