The best drummer and conductor in the world even to this day did such a fantastic job on how they all played in sync. 110% perfection I ever heard in this life time. Amazing. I Wish I was there to witness this powerful orchestra with Buddy RIch play. I could only imagine how powerful and rich the sound would be in this concert.
word has it that this take was actually take 2 the producers were said to have taken offense to his chewing gum..even though hes STILL chewing gum here it must have been over the top so this solo is solo 2 it was said tape or take one was erased ive never been able to confirm this as fact but i did get it from a reliable source
i often wondered if the reason they decided to play "Maria" (the loong version) was a sort of hidden inside tribute to his wife "maria" has anyone else ever wondered that?
