The best drummer and conductor in the world even to this day did such a fantastic job on how they all played in sync. 110% perfection I ever heard in this life time. Amazing. I Wish I was there to witness this powerful orchestra with Buddy RIch play. I could only imagine how powerful and rich the sound would be in this concert.
My god. Genius
After 45 years of my life listening to Buddy I still get the chills it’s really amazing because you will never see this again
Thank you very much for posting! It is great to hear this medley in its entirety, and in decent sound :-)
God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amor sin barreras
Un tema tan antiguo y tan actual.
En resumen el Amor supera todo
stunning, wonderful, emotional
Legendary moments in music history, at least in my book.
Once Again Them Very Old And Cold Audiences of The Boston Orchestra..Sad! Buddy Rich Deserved from them Hags of Boston..A Standing Ovation.
Thanks!!!!
word has it that this take was actually take 2 the producers were said to have taken offense to his chewing gum..even though hes STILL chewing gum here it must have been over the top so this solo is solo 2 it was said tape or take one was erased ive never been able to confirm this as fact but i did get it from a reliable source
Buddy Rich I will 😁💯 love you until the day I die 💯. Buddy Rich

GOD
i often wondered if the reason they decided to play "Maria" (the loong version) was a sort of hidden inside tribute to his wife "maria" has anyone else ever wondered that?
This is NOT the West Side Story arrangement that was written for Buddy and his band! This is a little more Broadway-ish.
Buddy Rich, truly one of the best drummers. Yes, this is not the jazzy version of this selection. Lots of fireworks in the original Buddy Rich version.
And THAT OLD COLD BOSTON AUDIENCE…NO STANDING OVATION! Shame on them OLD COLD BOSTON FAILURES
That standing ovation was so well deserved.
