    I would have blocked the other culvert to build up a little water pressure to help blast the rest of the debris out. I would last have cut a long narrow tree pole and used it to push the debris in there to help push it through.

    I am going with a combo of two other comments... blocking the other culvert with plywood to build up a current as well as finding a local straight branch, sapling, or long piece of 2x4 that could be a "battering ram." But you two really got that first one so that the next rainstorm will blow it out naturally! Great job! Also, Tardis Culverts?! Terrifying! 🤣😂

    Even if you couldn't get the water flowing now, clearing out those culverts will help a lot when you get some rain.
    Well done, and buying an extra long rake, that's dedication.
    The only solution is to cut down a nice, long straight tree to use as a ram.
    Get some beavers to help you cut down the tree, lol.

    Appreciate your great effort. Perhaps viewing a few Post10 videos might help some. If the culvert bottom has silt and rock build up it will be difficult to clear. If the culvert has none or very little grade it won't drain / flow. Plus if you get a good rain wash it will clear out the remainder of what you can't reach. Love you two putting such great effort into it.

    Block off that culvert that is flowing more with a few of those rocks. The pressure on the culvert pipe you are trying to clear will go up and help you push that junk through. When it's clear, remove the rocks.

  • @mikeymoolane6026
    @mikeymoolane6026 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The culvert pipe is round, and the rake head is quite wide, so I'm thinking that it 'bridges' across the bottom of the pipe when you have it horizontal. You could try using the rake head turned 90 degrees, and thus reach the stones in the bottom of the pipe curve. (love the vids) EDIT I see you sorta realised this just after I paused to comment 😅

    Just now found your channel. You may already found a solution for this sort of problem. If not, may I suggest a pain roller extension pole? Then you would at least be able to push pieces out or find some sort of adapter to screw on to the pole to pull it toward you.

    Try a set of sewer pipe rods with a hook end on. They screw together so you could make it any length you want. Or if enough flow attach a piece of rope to a float and get rope through culvert. Then use rope to drag a rake or hook through. Simplz

    You probably need at least a pole of 10 meters long or longer. How wide are the roads? If the pipe is layed in diagonally like the last one, the pipe gets longer than the road is wide fast.
    There are telescopic brooms for window cleaning... it's not a rake but it's better than nothing. A fishing rod can be long too but the it isn't as strong, so that's a no go.
    Another option is to look into telescopic masts for antenna, which can be up to 18 meters long. Maybe you can figure out a way to fit a rake end onto it? I'm just trying to think about of the box.
