House Fire, Basement Fire on South Fernandez Avenue, Arlington Heights

Firefighters ordered off the sunroom roof just after 6:44 elapsed time when part of the first floor collapsed and the fire flared up from the basement to the first floor living space.

In 25 years, I have made one basement fire.(I live in Texas and we don't have many basement homes down here). I'm glad to say that I have fought one, but that one was enough for me. I don't see how you guys do it! You have all my respect. Keep safe and stay low.

Your right heat does rise and I do not know the whole situation but thats a riskey tactic for a basement fire. That could pull the fire through out the house. Hope the injured ff is okay and good video for training

If you suspect the fire is in the walls, and it looks like they chased it for at least the initial companies, you pull out and start venting and getting water in from outside and reattack interior after it's knocked back.
