    I just absolutely adore the time lapse video edits where you see how the garden changes and erupts in growth. It really takes my breath away!

    I love the time-lapses showing the before and after of growth from one season to the next. Gardening keeps us connected to our ancestors, and provides endless topics for discussion for people around the world. Comparing climates and 'what's growing' is great fun. Today I was buzzed by a hummingbird, who was drinking from the flowers that just popped out on my Mexican Fence Post cactus. Both my white and purple wisteria blooms are opening. Cheers from Southern California.

    I used to have 23 yr. old comillias i had brought up from 2 leaves onwards & when they used to flower in there thousands of beautiful blooms.. i used to catch a glimpse whilst putting washing out but.. once i said to my sister who was visiting me.. you’ve got to take this sight in whilst they are in their full glory because when you have time to have a quick look.. they would‘be been & gone .. she’d liked that sentence so much.. she often used to say to me.. i really liked what you had said that day

    I had an old red rhododendron the size of my little finger & no leaves .. i put it in erecasous compost & it took of .. 5 ft tall & wide .. putting out magnificent display in spring.. i made a mistake & put the pot in a beautiful indoor pot with no holes & didn’t think.. the rain killed it.. i mourn it everyday..i then chose a fluorescent pink rhododendron.. my son bought me 2 .. i made 5 cuttings.. all doing good ..but i miss my old friend

    Dear Carol,
    I adore your style of gardening. But one question, don't you suffer from backache? Any advice is welcome! I care fot 2000 squaremeters garden on my Lowersaxony 160 year old farm. I'm loving it by heart, but it nearly kills me sometimes. I'm 56.
    Thank's for all passion you share with us.♥️

    I’m not sure if it’s supposed to happen but I’m watching a special on Kew and this orientalist music busts it’s way into last part of show. I’ve noticed this happens to your episodes as well as Monty’s. And I can hear your voice under the music. Very strange.

    Love the video's, but can't stand everyones urge to start beekeeping. Honeybees fourage on every flower they can find, leaving solitary bees (who mostly fly on certain types of plants) with empty flowers.
    Beekeepers probably mean well, but are actually causing solitary and wild bees to extinct.

    As a garden designer and builder I do not like the packed jungle look at all. I dont know what it is but all these presenters seem to bury plants in heavy jungle than burst into joy as they notice struggling plants over top of all . Set borders well planned Edwardian manor house style is how I like my gardens to look

      I agree with you, but I still enjoy Carol's enthusiasm, knowledge and the propagation details. I laugh because I see myself in her habits...out working in the garden and potting shed long after dark, hauling my husband out to help pull root balls out of the ground, watching the bird and wildlife in the yard.

    • @suebradford890
      @suebradford890 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kevin James Parr Well tended, tidy borders are not so good for wildlife and look a bit artificial in my opinion. I'd rather have it looking like Carol's, it looks more natural that way, to me.
