Her peers are STILL scratching their heads over how she created these sounds people like sega bodega and mat zo industry legends who have made careers being chameleons and know the complexities of sound design are still just baffled particulary how the drums have a physicality its all synthetic but still sounds metallic she made it all from scratch really an impressive work we lost her too soon

she produced all of it and is given credit by many for ushering in what we now call “hyperpop”

@@SBonaventureReactsfrom scratch too! Down to every metallic sound. I’m fairly sure she never used ANY samples and built every single sound from the ground up. She was a true visionary

@@rensvh98yes, she used the Elektron Monomachine synthesizer as well as Ableton's waveform manipulation, along with its many other capabilities to create custom sounds. Man, I love Ableton. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

The album title is a homophone for "I love every person's insides"

To me the album is about being trans, this is when she came out as a trans woman.
It's Okay to Cry - a song where she's trying to console past SOPHIE, I know you best, I don't mean to reproach you by saying this, I don't want to scare you. I can see the truth through all the lies, you've got nothing to hide. That was you I'd never seen before, the moment she realised her transness.
Ponyboy - About how her kinks, sometimes gay associated would intertwine with her new genderpresentation, seen in he is just a pony, she is just a pony, they is just a pony. She doesn't need to abandon either, she can have both.
Faceshopping - the song is about dysphoria and the insistance that trans people are who they look like. Putting an unhealthy insistence on plastic surgery, mixing well with the harsh production. The bridge then is about the fluidity of gender and how it doesn't link to outward appearance (reduce me to nothingness), and then the dysphoria kicks in again
Is It Cold in the Water - about being scared to come out, she's dying in the closet, she's freezing and burning but still worried about the water being cold.
Infatuation - who are you, out there, how would I know. Who are you really, what is your gender, what does that mean to you. A difficult question with the fluidity of gender
Not Okay - about how she's not okay as she tries to transition, but she has to try, try, try
Pretending - it starts out calm but grows louder and more turbulent over time. We hear screams, pretending to be a man becomes nearly impossible.
Immaterial - about the immateriality of gender, the fluidity. Trying to understand what exactly makes her her
Whole new world / pretend world - I think it's about being a woman, which is whole new world, that can feel like pretending. I looked into your eye, I thought that I could see a whole new world, I recognised that femininity in you. The production is both scary and exciting, as that journey would have been for her. Near the end it becomes ethereal, as she accepts and celebrates her identity.

The album is ground breaking and totally not what I listen to but there are a good 4 songs I will play for years. It’s an album the grows on you. Think Pony boy is the most mainstream on the album apart from Face shopping and the first one, the rest she just flew off in to the universe on another dimension.

'Is it cold in the water?' Will forever bring a tear to my eye. The production just sounds like what a brain feels like on grief.

You should definitely try her remix album of oil of every pearl’s uninsides. I think its her magnum opus. You can truly truly see her mastery at designing sound there
