I've seen some people say that Maellard is unfair to Benson, but look at it from Maellard's point of view. Mordecai and Rigby consistently cause what must be hundreds of dollars worth of damage to the park, and Benson (at least from Maellard's perspective) is incapable of keeping his employees in line, and for some ungodly reason, has kept Mordecai and Rigby as employees despite many screwups rather than outright replace them, which from a realistic standpoint, should've been done pretty early in the series.
