- A beautiful thing happened at the First Direct Arena In Leeds UK on June 15, 2022. Diana Ross performed "It's My Turn" as an unexpected request at the end of her show that is making it's way across the UK and several other countries in Europe. During each of her stops she has surprised fans with songs from her vast legendary library, most of them by requests, off the cuff and without rehearsals and each time, she sang each song with perfection. At one concert, it was "Home" at another it was "The Best Years of My Life." On this night, a friend of mine requested, "It's My Turn" and for him, it really was. He was set to bring her flowers but because of new protocols, he was unable to do so. He mentioned that he had gone to several of her shows but he had never had a personal "moment" with her but that all changed tonight and it was a beautiful moment to witness. Not only did she sing his request, she also blew him kisses. One shining moment.
Not only did Diana Ross sing the song, but she SANG the song. A flawless rendition of one of her most beautiful ballads...and it was all due to a simple request. Diana Ross often tells her fans to "go for your dreams." One fan followed her advise and it became a reality. Beautiful Love.
This performance is stunning. Her voice has changed considerably over the course of her career, and at every stage she has retained her incredible ability to deliver an authentic, emotional performance. Her ability to do this may be stronger than it has ever been. And, has she ever been this relaxed and happy onstage? Her interaction with the audience is generous and full of gratitude. What a remarkable performer and human being.

Her voice has NOT CHANGED CONSIDERABLY, but just a bit... so get it right !!!
@@marvinking9848 Please be respectful. You may take my observation as a criticism, but it’s not. Either way, I was not disrespectful of you, so please be kind. You don’t know me. As for her voice, it’s lost a lot of it’s power and range on the higher end, which is why she allows her back up singers to fill in where she can’t reach notes. If you listen to Home now versus her version in 1979, there is a marked difference. Think about a song like One More Chance, it’s just not within reach for her now. That’s to be expected and it doesn’t diminish the new characteristics she has acquired with age. She still uses her gift wonderfully, and she retains a lot of what makes her a singular artist, but objectively her voice has changed quite a bit. Not a bad thing, just a normal thing. She’s still great.
