Thank you. I was watching The Great British Sewing Bee recently (I'm a bit addicted to this show) and they had a shirring challenge. Their machines did not have speed buttons so most of the contestants hand wound their bobbins but one older woman used her machine to wind her bobbins but used her hand to put between the elastic to control the speed. It worked well and her shirring was great.
Great tutorial. Thank you. I was amazed at the shrinking with steam at the end. Is there a particular type of stirring elastic that needs to be used or are they all the same?
Thank you for that tip about threading through the tension disk. That made all the difference!!!

Ty.....my goodness now I can make a sundress with this shearing as it holds me in comfortably w/o a bra. Subbed.😊
Thanks for the sub! Have fun sewing ♥️♥️
I've been threading my Bobbins wrong; I pull it through that hole the opposite way.
This way you can cut the excess thread when you are done and it doesn’t get in the way later ❤️❤️
Otro vídeo que descarto por las uñas ...me dan grima los golpecitos...
Hehe tengo que tener eso en mente para la próxima 🤣🤣
Thank you soooo much! I was so afraid of doing any shirring, I always try to avoid any patterns that requires it. This was very helpful. 😊
You are so welcome! You can do it!! ♥️♥️
