Watching your sweet dad fix the deck for you made me tear up. I would just mention to my dad I needed to take care of something and he would show up and take care of it. He’s been gone 8 years and I miss him so much. You have the sweetest family.

Love the additions to your porch. You always come up with great ideas. It seems the boys keep growing as they should. I just love how Lennie loves to help. I also love how the boys were helping to clean the bench. Teach them all things and they will grow up to be good husbands/boyfriends.

Love the revamped deck looks fantastic - your Dad made a very good job of the deck edging what were those people thinking when they made the deck fit the shape of the rocks. It's great the way the kids all join in with whatever you'r doing and it was lovely to see John more in the scenes. Your doggy's beautiful just wish he were mine iv'e got a cat who runs a mile if he sees a dog so I'll have to wait to get my dog. Your Dad did what I’ve been wanting done 😂 I hope you can figure out the under deck issue. You could put a skirt around the deck or chicken wire it. The burrowers will still come, but, it should help. The deck furniture is beautiful! Perfect for your large family. 🙋🏻♀️💞

Dads are special people, such a nice family picture, so sorry about your beautiful plant yes I'm sentimental to I'm doing everything I can to keep the two plants of my mom alive but i dont have the right window yet we are so hot here in SC its crazy at times. Thanks for letting me be apart of your family time.💐💖🤗🤗🤗🚲 If you guys did not want to go with all that expense of tearing down the deck you could put rabbit wire around the outside edges it will keep the rabbits out we had to do that it really worked, just a idea and rabbit wire is not sharp and the hole are small deppending on the size holes you pick. My husband and I bought new patio furniture that includes a sofa, 2 arm chairs, 2 ottomans, and coffee table. I assembled it in the garage. No one wants to move it. So far my garage has turned into the chill space. I don't think it's ever going outside.
I love it. I've been staining my decks. We opened our pool a few weeks ago. The weather here in NC keeps flip flopping back and forth. Mother Nature has female issues I think. Lol. Your Dad made a big improvement cutting off the odd shape boards. I'm the same. Love all my areas to sit outside once it gets warm. I love hearing the pool pump circulating. That's so relaxing to me.

The deck furniture looks great. I can relate to the plant trauma. I over wintered a red flowered pentas plant. It was big and lush since it liked my kitchen table location all winter. Well we got nice night time temperatures finally so I put it out on the deck which gets full sun. That's where it lived and flowered all of last year. Well the next morning I looked at my beautiful pentas plant and it had gotten too much full sun too soon and some of the lush green leaves are whited out crunchie. My bad. I know better but I was so anxious to have a spot of color on the deck. The pentas plant is now on the top of my grill in the shade. Aahh, live and learn. The crunchie leaves will be pinched off as it grows more this summer. BTW I purchased 2 more red pentas plants and potted them up and THEY are now on the deck in the full sun and doing well. Crazy! Enjoy your deck. It looks fabulous and comfortable.
Love the deck refresh! I really like the looks of the article outdoor furniture also. I just purchased my very first article piece. I ordered the Sven in yarrow gold velvet. cannot wait to get it. So sorry about your plant. I cry when I lose some of mine that have sentimental value too. Thank goodness for dads! He did a wonderful job fixing the edges of that deck, by the way.

I completely get it on the plant. I feel the same way about a couple I have. If you had healthy roots and a little bit of good stem, I am going to be optimistic about it recovering. 🍀

We put pieces of sheet metal down in the ground about 10-12” deep to keep rabbits out. Maybe something like that with chicken wire as well would work.

The deck furniture looks great. I can relate to the plant trauma. I over wintered a red flowered pentas plant. It was big and lush since it liked my kitchen table location all winter. Well we got nice night time temperatures finally so I put it out on the deck which gets full sun. That's where it lived and flowered all of last year. Well the next morning I looked at my beautiful pentas plant and it had gotten too much full sun too soon and some of the lush green leaves are whited out crunchie. My bad. I know better but I was so anxious to have a spot of color on the deck. The pentas plant is now on the top of my grill in the shade. Aahh, live and learn. The crunchie leaves will be pinched off as it grows more this summer. BTW I purchased 2 more red pentas plants and potted them up and THEY are now on the deck in the full sun and doing well. Crazy!

So sorry about your plant. I cry when I lose some of mine that have sentimental value too. Thank goodness for dads! He did a wonderful job fixing the edges of that deck, by the way.
