Jenny Reilly hi Jenny. No, all the crabs have already scrambled under the rock again once it’s flipped. Flipping the rock back over risks squashing whatever is left there so we leave them as they are.
@@_OuterLine ditto Jenny’s comment. You really need to flip the rocks back over. All the crabs have moved but the microorganisms that live under the rocks can’t survive on top and the ones that live on top can’t survive being upside down. Great video and brilliant showcasing of the bay. I’ve subbed!
Hey mate. If you dont mind me asking what size hooks do you rig ya crabs on? And how do you rig them for Tusk fish. Always caught tuskys on prawn / squid. Would like to try crabs
I’ll share a lot mate, but not that set up 😂😂, can use the right bait, right moon, right tide but if your in heavy current and not using this type of rig then your pushing 💩 up hill
Cracking video guys can’t wait to see more once everything is back to normal and in Moreton bay even better what was that island u went swimming at thanks
Arron Wellington Hey Arron, yes we are looking forward to everything going back to normal to, but doesn’t seem like it’s going to for a long time! The island doesn’t have a name, but it’s directly west of amity point, the western side of the rainbow channel just before you get to the bar. It’s accessible at high tide but better at low as there is more sand exposed.
I've seen some rather large sharks in the bay, big tigers, the thing lots of people don't realise is there used to be a whaling station on moreton island, and the generation of sharks that are alive remember that food source, point is, I would not have my feet or hands out side the boat, in the bay near the island, years ago, there used to be a big female tiger on the other side of the washing machine that gave birth every other year, she was real agresive, we used to fish out of a Bruce Harris cat, genuine 20 foot boat, she was bigger than us, THATS a fact
Hey Guys, We live right off where you collected your bait. Any additional info on where to get the Tuskys in the bay is appreciated. Ive got a couple of Bommies i fish in the bay but never a tusky.
Evolution Fishing Plus 1. Evolution Fishing Plus 1. Thanks for watching! We all live in gods country don’t we?! We target them in the northern bay anywhere there is current with high steep ledges ;D
Guys, when you don't put back each rock in the same position, you are destroying all microorganisms, eggs and small fishs underneath. Meanwhile, this is forbidden to pick up female crab and minimum sizes are regulated when you are crabbing, from 10 or 12 cm. Fishing adult is great but you have to think about how birth is given in nature to get a chance to fish in the next futur !
A very enjoyable production! And great to see what can be caught locally 👍
Self Sufficient Me Thanks very much mate! Really appreciate it, are you also local to the Redlands ?
Great bluebone guys for in the Bay , glad to see you guys keeping it real.
You need to put the rocks back after turning them over as all the crustaceans left behind are dying when you are collecting the rock crabs

Leah Cherry Hi Leah, thank you!! They are anywhere from 2m to 20m where we target them. Depends on the size of the bluey you want to catch
