For example you can get a bodie of a 1967 Ford Mustang for a hand full of bugs and a wrecked Merc in a "Zustandsnote" 5 (from 6) for a big box of beer. I know what is declared as "beer" in USA.

I love classic cars, and have no problem seeing them getting smashed up. I get it. But it seems a bit of a waste not taking them round the track for a proper race

You need to look at real american derby, there way better that european derby where they just try to kill the driver in the car. I find this video very boring.
