Two ideas for you. First; mirrors, mirrors make the illusion of space, you'll see large mirrors in small homes to make it seem less claustrophobic. Not that this place looks small by any means, but it could make the difference between someone leaving there going, "that place was pretty big" to "THAT PLACE WAS REALLY BIG". Secondly; wipe boards or an easle with a roll of cheap paper over it. If you're going to have a parade of relatively creative people shuffling through there, you might as well let them create. Some people may just sign their names, but it's more than nothing.
For that dead space how about putting that L4D safe room door on the wall and get some artwork painted to make it look like the inside of a safe room. Will make it look like another room instead of a dead end.
At the end of the hallway, have a mirror, but one that is also a monitor. At random points, make the grudge or something crawl up really fast, scaring the shit out of someone who isn't expecting it.
I don't know why, but i felt proud when I watched the video and saw how far has the Yogcast developed. Been a fan since 09'. None of my friends watch this because its not the norm here (Malaysia). I'm just proud and happy for the Yogcasts.
I wonder just how much all of this cost... all of those monitors, the ipads, the servers, the air conditioners, the tables and chairs, painting the walls, the locks, and all the man hours of putting all that stuff in... But it really looks like a total dream-office, I hope you guys keep it in shape :D
RoronoaZoroSensei well for quite a few things like the desks and similar sets of equipment for the computers and such were given to them by different companies. if you go to their instagram and go back a few day, you can see an image of the big studio before they got all the desks, there is similar sets of stuff on the ground where each desk was supposed to go, so they probably got that for either free or a lot cheaper because they got it in bulk, and the desks from what I've heard in videos were given to them aswell once again either for free or cheaper in bulk. and if they did get then at reduced or free price then they just had to say where they got it from as a deal for the desks and computer stuff

Thydar Americans cope by having air conditioners in our cars/businesses/homes. We also have pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans. Also we travel to cooler places... heat wave in LA? Drive to the mountains and go skiing. Also the northern parts of the country don't really get that hot (usually).
yeah dude, sadly I'm not rich and cant just randomly splash out on an aircon unit which ill only use for 2 weeks of the year, so no I cant do that, plus the windows are open 24/7 in my house, the temp is still exactly the same

I mean what do they make, like 1M a year in revenue? and they have like 20 full-time employees plus all that fucking tech and a huge office? Honestly, I'm scared about how long the yogscast is going to be around for with all the youtube drama about ad revenue and demonetization and stuff, not to mention, this biz has always been time sensitive; are people going to watch Lewis make minecraft lets plays when he is 50? I'm just grateful Yogscast has mostly not compromised on content all this time. They're pretty much the only gaming channel on youtube I can stomach. Fuck Markiplier and septickie, yogscast doesn't do screaming, stupid voices, and fake intros like everyone else. the closest we get is Duncan being a sperg sometimes and also dunc making a dumb brand deal from time to time.

Basically, they want to make it successful without having to sell out. Any brand deals they take, for instance, are only for games they were planning on playing anyway. I believe Lewis also said that, although they'd prefer it if you didn't use adblock and whatnot, merch on the store nets them far more than ads on videos do. Luckily it seems the powers that be in the Yogs also have a mind for business as well as fun. They seem to have reached the point where a team will either falter and die or thrive and worked past it, which I congratulate them for. The only time they've had to make real sacrifices was the firing of Minty and Teutron, which Lewis said he hated doing and wouldn't have if they had a choice. Branching out into streams has certainly helped, I imagine.

TH-cam ad revenue, would be one of the smallest forms of revenue for their business- they make a load of money through twitch, sponsorships, and a large amount from selling their own merchandise. Apart from that, they've now diversified into games publishing and now they're hiring out recording rooms in their studio for other content creators. Hey Turps, I work at a company Called DIsplayLogic. We do a lot of retail signage and fitting. We can easily create a sign for you with a metallic finish in a low cost option if you want to contact us.
Can you make an "ex-yogtowers" video later? Just break into the apartments of the previous building you were located in and show what it's like after people have moved in and do some reminiscing.
For the dead spaces at the end of the halls, I think it would be really cool to have a themed scene, like props and what set up to look like a scene from a game or movie, also, if it's a no for the scenes, how about a nice array of wildlife like pets or plants, make it a wall of flora or something, you know, something aesthetically pleasing whenever you see it?
For all the dead ends: Why not have some artwork on there, offset it slightly from the wall so there's a gap. And put led lighting behind it. Maybe colored light same as the wall color, that way it lights up the ends, looks fancy and fits in with all the high end looks of tablets on the walls. To offset it easily, use desk raisers and glue them to the frame of the artwork. Or use small rubber feet.. You can do the same with the yogscast logo. Add plexiglass to the parts you want light to come through. Really easy to make and design. To cut costs you can contact a laser/water cutter yourself, or make it a school project, I know a few UK schools have hardware like that, and will do it at near 0 cost.
Get a huge 60inch sideways smart tv for the coridor, link it to the server and allow the Yogs to add photos to a folder and run a photo gallery of fresh new selfies, fan art or whatever. Would be cool for you guys I think.
there is 21 desks in that control center, there looks to be about 8 in the editors room, and about 10 recording studios, why so many? Why would they need more than 1 pc each? Unless they have 40 employees which i highly doubt. I understand they rent out the recording studios but there would be still too many with just the control center and editor room put together. Am i missing something
By the looks of the open floor plan, they may have everyone, not just content creators, out in the big room. So support staff, administrators, that accountant, business manager types (Turps), etc. and anyone else they employ.
For the blank wall at the entrance, it should be a huge mural of the Yogscast crew! It should be all colorful and amazing! And at the end of corrodes should be little water taps and such for the recorders when they get dehydrated, and behind it should be fan art! And on hallway walls as well! That's just my opinion!
i think you need to add a life wall ( a wall that is made up of plants) just add some smoother tones to a place that looks more like a hospital or just way sterile. I think it will give the building some much needed "life". ps. love the the new place its amazing just needs the yogscast quirks
In the lobby area you could have a television or a projector that displays various pieces of art that say "YogsCast Studios". Then you could add fan art and anything else into the rotation at your discretion.
Pro tip... Office supplies usually sell cardboard corner covers. You tape those on wall corners with blue tape, and put down particle board on the floors while you move... then the whole joint doesn't get trashed, and you don't have to paint and clean everything all over again. (wink-thumbs up) :)
Looks really great. With the "dead spaces" in the recording area, i would bring in floor length pictures of forests and greenery. Gives the area a sense of landscape even tho there are no windows. Have the main halls decked with game artworks (i think Displate has some nice ones, but i'd recommend some square pictures which all are aligned at the Top) and these dead spaces with the greenery, forests, and so on. At the entrance (where you exited into the red, lobby area) i'd put an artwork with all the employees of yogscast. maybe ad the Date 2017 and then repeat the artwork every few years and add to the wall. Watching this video i really feel the need to clean up and interior decorate the areas.
At the end of each corridor you should paint a door to yoglabs with danger signs and some references to some of the things that happened in yoglabs on them
Somewhere you should get some artwork that depicts the entire history of the Yogscast. Illustrations that represent everything from the earliest Ye Olde Goon Squad days, to "How to Survive Your First Night" and Israphael, to the Jaffa Factory, to Hat Films joining the Yogscast, and to random popular series like Sjin's Let's Build, Flux Buddies, Chilluminati, Games Night, Fright Night, Jingle Jam, and references to all the crazy shenanigans. Actually, that would make a fun poster to have. A whole mess of everything from the past to the present.
A lot of the features are so similar to my office in Bristol, lol. The zip tap, same air con units, ipads on the doors, exactly the same storage lockers... I have a sit/stand desk because I have a spine problem (but also never use it because my knee problems are getting worse...). We don't have the cool coloured desks though, that would be nice :) Also, damn, the Yogscast is SO big now, like that is a lot of equipment to be able to afford! Glad things are going so well that you've been able to get some big upgrades during the move!

For the dead spaces at the end of the halls, I think it would be really cool to have a themed scene, like props and what set up to look like a scene from a game or movie, also, if it's a no for the scenes, how about a nice array of wildlife like pets or plants, make it a wall of flora or something, you know, something aesthetically pleasing whenever you see it?
Would be cool if someone made a TTT or Prop Hunt map based on the office

For all the dead ends: Why not have some artwork on there, offset it slightly from the wall so there's a gap. And put led lighting behind it. Maybe colored light same as the wall color, that way it lights up the ends, looks fancy and fits in with all the high end looks of tablets on the walls. To offset it easily, use desk raisers and glue them to the frame of the artwork. Or use small rubber feet.. You can do the same with the yogscast logo. Add plexiglass to the parts you want light to come through. Really easy to make and design. To cut costs you can contact a laser/water cutter yourself, or make it a school project, I know a few UK schools have hardware like that, and will do it at near 0 cost.

Get a huge 60inch sideways smart tv for the coridor, link it to the server and allow the Yogs to add photos to a folder and run a photo gallery of fresh new selfies, fan art or whatever. Would be cool for you guys I think.
there is 21 desks in that control center, there looks to be about 8 in the editors room, and about 10 recording studios, why so many? Why would they need more than 1 pc each? Unless they have 40 employees which i highly doubt. I understand they rent out the recording studios but there would be still too many with just the control center and editor room put together. Am i missing something
The Yogscast employ 68 people (as of 2016) - So I'd say the number's about right.
By the looks of the open floor plan, they may have everyone, not just content creators, out in the big room. So support staff, administrators, that accountant, business manager types (Turps), etc. and anyone else they employ.
For the blank wall at the entrance, it should be a huge mural of the Yogscast crew! It should be all colorful and amazing! And at the end of corrodes should be little water taps and such for the recorders when they get dehydrated, and behind it should be fan art! And on hallway walls as well! That's just my opinion!
How about an image collage using video thumbnails
i think you need to add a life wall ( a wall that is made up of plants) just add some smoother tones to a place that looks more like a hospital or just way sterile.
I think it will give the building some much needed "life".

In the lobby area you could have a television or a projector that displays various pieces of art that say "YogsCast Studios". Then you could add fan art and anything else into the rotation at your discretion.
Pro tip... Office supplies usually sell cardboard corner covers. You tape those on wall corners with blue tape, and put down particle board on the floors while you move... then the whole joint doesn't get trashed, and you don't have to paint and clean everything all over again. (wink-thumbs up) :)
For the wall above the stairs put a welcome to yoglabs sign

Turps' "turn off the light when you leave the room" dad game is strong.
Looks really great. With the "dead spaces" in the recording area, i would bring in floor length pictures of forests and greenery. Gives the area a sense of landscape even tho there are no windows. Have the main halls decked with game artworks (i think Displate has some nice ones, but i'd recommend some square pictures which all are aligned at the Top) and these dead spaces with the greenery, forests, and so on.
At the entrance (where you exited into the red, lobby area) i'd put an artwork with all the employees of yogscast. maybe ad the Date 2017 and then repeat the artwork every few years and add to the wall.
Watching this video i really feel the need to clean up and interior decorate the areas.
You don't fully realise how big TH-cam is as a business until you see a fully fledged office building dedicated to just one network

End of the hallway, try a monitor that displays the nearby rooms, which ones are open, and who's registered in each one.
At the end of each corridor you should paint a door to yoglabs with danger signs and some references to some of the things that happened in yoglabs on them

Somewhere you should get some artwork that depicts the entire history of the Yogscast.
Illustrations that represent everything from the earliest Ye Olde Goon Squad days, to "How to Survive Your First Night" and Israphael, to the Jaffa Factory, to Hat Films joining the Yogscast, and to random popular series like Sjin's Let's Build, Flux Buddies, Chilluminati, Games Night, Fright Night, Jingle Jam, and references to all the crazy shenanigans.
Actually, that would make a fun poster to have.

A lot of the features are so similar to my office in Bristol, lol. The zip tap, same air con units, ipads on the doors, exactly the same storage lockers... I have a sit/stand desk because I have a spine problem (but also never use it because my knee problems are getting worse...). We don't have the cool coloured desks though, that would be nice :)
Also, damn, the Yogscast is SO big now, like that is a lot of equipment to be able to afford! Glad things are going so well that you've been able to get some big upgrades during the move!
For the wall, you could have a duncan's dinosaur park poster framed on it.
It's kinda mind boggling to see the size and complexity of Yogscast now after the humble beginnings it all started from.
