I actually think they are fairly consistent in what they do. New releases will be overpowered for a few months. But the toxic design is still there after nerfs. Shadow claw stuns too long, and feint attack cooldown is too short) - Umbreon (mean look) - Crustle (counter picks happen in MOBAs, but the wall range, duration and slow is ridiculous) - Mimikyu (invincible one-shot and unstoppable counter) - Ceruledge (unite move. Phantom force can be fine with long enough cooldown) - Blissey (won worlds 3/3 times. Unite move deals too much damage. I also think they buffed helping hand safeguard too much) - and of course all the EX Pokémon And yea you’re absolutely right about the flawed monetisation strategy. Imagine these people are too stupid to have regional pricing. $11 membership wherever you are in the world. These people are not smart enough to put anime costumes in the game. Dress like Ash. The one I dont agree with is crustle. Yes the wall is far and it is hard to get out of given it requires a dash to escape. However if you include crustle I feel like you also have to include mime who has more damage on a longer stun. Yes mime isnt a tank but the point is still there. Now i think crustle is relatively fine, he isnt incredibly overbearing given characters like tree and slowbro still typically get played more while also providing alternative opportunities for new and fresh team comps. Plus crustle is mostly a dive comp mon rather than poke, if you rub poke you typically runs slowbro and even if you do run dive you could debate on using tree over crustle. Slowbro unite is an absolutely necessary evil. Without it unites like zard, the one tap speedsters, and so much is pushed completely over the edge because slowbro unite is a major factor in holding them back even though it could be considered unhealthy given you cant really stop or interrupt it. Unfortnately slowbro unite is necessary, without it the game falls apart. I feel like they should aim for making more mons like snorlax or in the way of attackers cramorant/dragapult. Mons that aren't annoying but if used correctly can wreck house. A good lax is fantastic at denying entry with heavy slam block, especially if they know how to use x-speed or during ray if they can ult the enemy at choke effectively forcing them to go all the way around. However snorlax does have is weakneses, almost every other defender can out tank lax, hes short ranged, his heavy slam needs to basically be a prediction if your trying to deny a dive due to the small wait, and among defender unites his unite is rather selfish. Cramorant has dive and hurricane both are good sets depending on your playstyle. Cram is frail enough to work as a high burst assassin with dive without being overbearing and his auto attacks come out at such a rate where you cant just mash A. Surf + hurricane provides good cc and damage at the sacrifce of mobility. And his unite forces you to stay still on a frail mon but in turn can deal massive damage and deny an entire area. And dragapult is like the stable high risk, high reward ranged attacker without any annoying cc. Current designs try to stuff way too much into the kit at once. Mewtwo Y shouldnt have cc immunity, cc itself, and massive damage. If you want cc immunity then either take away some damsge or some of the cc, if you want high damage take away the cc immunity or the cc, if you want cc then take away the immunity or the damage but having all 3 is way way too much. The support class is CONSTANTLY a problem because their either outrageously overpowered or incredibly niche. Mime is really niche and rarely used outside of people who are amazing with him, whereras hoopa has been the best non attacker character in the game for a while and thanks to hyperspacehole giving near unbeatable rotations if the team is well coordinated, hoopa has stayed busted since release. It also doesnt help that he has some of the best early game damage and secure inside of the support role and his attacks give him great mobility making him incredibly hard to punish on top of that. His unite can be used pretty much whenever your team is seperated for a free jumping allowing the enemy team to essentially be wherever they want whenever they want with little to no risk for the hoopa player themselves. Their focusing way too much on making new, unique pokemon that have all these cool and useful tools without thinking "how much is too much"

If they cared about the player experience they wouldn’t be losing so many players daily too. They care more for money than they do keeping the game alive
Mobas tend to release characters at a higher rate at the beginning and then gradually slow it down so I'm not surprised that unite did this and I won't be surprised when hok starts to slow down too
Honestly my main issue with release is that the Pokémon start off well balanced sometimes and they just end up overtunning it with buffs later on Also hate gem price increases
100% agree on the rage this game causes, and losing to in game failures is worse. sucks that the only way to masters is to pay or exploit mentioned in game failures. Asking for money makes me want to delete the game.
Bro they have been making updates vry often recently. They even made a deb post about how they will balance once a month at least, and they've been doing it even more than that. Cmon. give them credit where it's due!
They are doing more with balances but they’re not doing so hot on releases. 8 releases in 2024, 14 releases in 2023 with one of them being the last support released, comfey. Yes they’ve been doing better on patches, but their communication is still okay at best, and they don’t connect with their community

This game no matter what happens to it is never going to be balanced. Pokemon itself isn’t even balanced, I don’t expect a Pokemon spinoff to be balanced either

The players are the biggest problem 100% this game has annoying pokemon like play rough mimimkyu or icicle spear glaceon but balancing isn’t hard and they’re greedy etc etc. All that aside the players not knowing what to do, trolling, leaving, lagging out, mic banning, yelling on mic, etc. It’s the players 95%

Each time you take a survey you choose one of usually 3 different sets of questions. I’ve gotten surveys about skins, monetization, draft, etc.
