I know this is an old video, but I just lost my black schnauzer to cancer 3 weeks ago. It's wonderful seeing your dog. It brings back wonderful memories. My dog was almost 15, so she lived a full life, but always hurts saying goodbye. We are planning on getting another black schnauzer or white with black spots. They are the best dogs ever.
Truly the best breed EVER! So sorry for your loss - so hard to lose them! 😪 Blessed you are to get another. I had to put my dear boy, Jackson to sleep 2 yrs ago. I can't afford another - so expensive to purchase! Jackson was a gift to me in every way! 😍💝 I did adopt a little mutt recently. He is pure delight - what a character!

I lost my mini 2 years ago and there is not a day I do not think about him and cry. I would give years of my life for just one more hug. All animals are special but this breed is something else.
I lost my mini 2 and a half years ago and I think about her every day. I got her when she was a rescue so she was only 14.5 and I only had her 8.5 years. I wanted to keep her forever but she was really having a hard time and we were moving and she couldn't see so it would have been harder for her to move with us. She was the love of my life. I'm going to try to get another one because mini schnauzers are so loyal. I know it won't be exactly the same and I won't compare the two unfairly. As long as the new dog gets along with the dog we have and other dogs and people that come to stay with us I will be very happy. My dad is allergic to most dogs so we have to get hypoallergenic ones and I think schnauzers and poodles are the best because I have most experience with them. i love the name Winston.

This is close to my heart. I love these dogs. Mine was named Freddy . I have since lost him to heart failure . He was 17 years old.🤩 Winston is beautiful. Good luck. These dogs are very happy and vocal.

Lost my Mini June 20th 2016 to melanoma cancer. He was first diagnosed November 2013. The vet said he would be dead by Febuary 2014. The Vet opted to put him down then, I told him if he starts to look bad we would. He never looked bad until 2 years later. He couldn't jump up on the bed or jump down due to pain. He acted normal beyond that, the end came when he wouldn't eat and couldn't hold position to relieve himself. I knew then his time had come. Yet when I took him to the Vet and had to park the car he waited at the door. When the gave him the shot he looked up at me like what did I do wrong. He licked my face for only the second time since having him in 9 years. Laid his little head down, licked my hand....I will never own another dog. I never thought I would feel that way about a pet. Loosing them is harder than you realize. Crying now.. Sorry
BlackAnvil47 that is so very sad. Losing them is not at all something to look forward too. We lost out Maltese dog after 17 years and also our Siamese cat. However we recall all the great moments together and look forward to sharing more love with more pets.
We should never own dogs. Dog is dog's dog! We have no right removing their most vital organs given by God. We should not poison their bodies with cancer causing vaccines, because vets like so or recomend. No chip implants ! No market food, only home made and human grade. So you can be healthy and happy for long,long time together.... He looked at you strange at the vet, because you're rushing to much. People euthanize pets for their own convenience. We have obligation to let pets die in peace. At home where they feel safe. Just like they do in nature. Away from vets and their money agenda.They need love even in their last moments of life. More love then ever! Btw, nobody vaccinate, castrate or feed commercial food whild dogs and they do not suffer from cancer or other strange disease.

We had to do the same thing four years ago too. I think he took a part of us when he left. He was almost sixteen when he passed. He had spinal problems, which we treated with acupuncture for two years, but it just got too hard for him as he aged😭 During that time, we took him to the beach a lot, because we went camping there with him all his life.
On his last day, as we were racing to the vet, he was fighting to get up to smell the air outside the car window, even when his body could barely move. My regret, was that I didn't open the window and let him smell the air... At that moment, I thought I shouldn't move him about too much... He was the most well behaved pup ever! Hardly barked, no agression, just calm as ever. I got a little tattoo of his name on me. He was a better person than many humans I know. I will see him again!
Since June 2016 after having my Mini Schnauzer "Easy" out down I've decided to get another one... I will be traveling to Memphis Tennessee. My home area and pick him up. This December 23, 2018

There's a reason our national miniature schnauzer association's motto used to be "because anything else is just a dog' Love our 9 and 12 year-old minis (the oldest of which is also Winston) who are showing absolutely zero signs of slowing down - They seem to be 9 and 12, going on 3 and 4 - What a blessing (of spunky cuteness)
My buddy Ozzie was 14 years old. I had to put him to sleep due to complications in his old age. He is my best bud and i miss him terribly. This video gives me hope and peace knowing that someone will love their dog like i love mine. 😢
so sad to hear that you had to put you buddy down. I am so glad that you got so much joy from each other though. That is so nice to hear. He was lucky to be so loved. I know Winston is extremely loved and brings us so much joy. He is a lucky boy too.

SCHNAUZER'S ARE MY #1 FAVORITE DOG!
My schnauzers name is rose and she is the same color. She has the best personality ever! She is a great therapy dog too even though she was never trained to be one she just knows when you aren’t feeling well and comes and sleeps by you when your down she has an intuition.
Winston won the puppy lottery, but that's a pretty serious name to have to live up to.

id fallen on this videao by accident. what a cuuuute and lovely buddy. I hope after 8 yrs Winston is still in good condition and healthy. and that he is a real schnauzer, sometimeds a bit stubborn but veeeery lovable and cuddly. As my salt n pepper midium schauzer was. I just adore little Winston he is amazing! I am a huge mini schnauzer lover. We had our first for 14 1/2 years named Sherlock and now we have our second a little black baby boy like Winston but our guy is named Watson. The perfect match to our Sherlock! OMG! Winston is beautiful! Such a sweet little guy! Seeing him makes me want another puppy! I have 2 very spoiled Mini Schnauzers (11 yo, Brady all white- got him at 8 weeks old and 5 yo Tucker, Liver Parti -got him at 12 weeks old and we absolutely LOVE them! They're amazing dogs; very smart, energetic and loving! HUGE personalities too! ;)

We hated the wait before we bought Winston home. It seemed like forever, but well worth the wait. You will love having a mini schnauzer. Winston has entertained us daily.

official standards of the AKC handbook of the breed, there are no toy
schnauzers. What you have is a small puppy that is a miniature schnauzers
which isn’t recognized nor encouraged by the AKC or Miniature Schnauzer
Club Of America and is considered a fault. Unfortunate, but true I am afraid.
