For me this second batch of Smokey Mountain is the best lineup / incarnation of this musical group created and mentored by Mr. Ryan Cayabyab, each member have top notch musical talent that is quite noticeable even at their young age, it was this lineup that catapulted the group to greater success and fame in the 90s OPM scene and even in the international music arena (they even gained recognition in countries like Japan and even competed in a handful of international music competitions) prior to the local rock music reinassance explosion by the end of 1993 (which brought bands like the Eraserheads, The Teeth, etc. to the OPM stage) , The Smokey Mountain group is the top most popular and recognised OPM group at that time, they are top notch and high caliber in terms of talent, energy , passion and appeal back then.

@@roquetequito5 FYI : the first batch got disbanded. Tony and Jeffrey chose their studies over career, James was left to stay with the 2nd batch. Geneva went solo. This was mentioned by Tony in one of his interviews. Please also watch the 1st batch's interview with the SMFS Admins
I watched the version of Geneva and Tony (hindi pa nga sila seryoso dun) and I really like that better than this one. Tony's voice really suits this song, sayang talaga yun. But of course this version of batch 2 is also lovely! Ka-in love eh ❤️
No it's not. Chedi and James did very well in their version pero iba yung Geneva that time and Tony is better than James vocally. I still don't know why nagpalit pa ng members ang Smokey Mountain during that time and retaining James.Sayang I don't know the reasons behind it i just hoped that they kept the original batch.
