Actually, the moment to break a get away was about 5 seconds after the hunter stopped and sat there up the road waiting. I was watching this on the STH video and was screaming “get out of there, they know it’s you!” Anytime a hunter just sits there watching a car, you can 100% guarantee he is calling in back up, it costs the hunters nothing to scramble to a ‘possible’ sighting and it not be right then to pass up not catching him.
I love that I assumed that the final death was so organised and precise and would be lots of planning. But no it was just someone shouting “get the bastard”

Don't be afraid to throw in some traditional 24H Pri-exploding STHs from time to time! While I enjoy all of them, there was a constant intensity and tension to the old STHs that can't be replaced. Those nailbiting classic ones where you were minutes away from succeeding in a bashed up car while being chased, etc. I do kinda miss those sometimes if I'm being honest.

The efficiency of the hunters is amazing. By the time Liam was able to say where they'd seen the jester, you were already pulling up in the arena car park. A little bit of radio discipline and they could be dangerous.
In fairness. Liam was joining the lobby late, he did the right thing by withholding that information as he still would have had his map on at that point.
I was almost yelling at Alex to get moving. As soon as they checked him and moved on, he should have turned around and legged it. Perfectly executed J turn at 2:10
Same. When they were just sitting at the end of the junction directly looking at him I knew he was found out, I didn't understand how he didn't notice them gathering at his location.
Everytime you upload one of those I like to imagine all of the hunters having a team-meeting, analysing your video for clues as to where you might go next😂
I still do not know why the hunters do not assign sections of the map to hunters. That way if one gets blown up they have a good general idea where based on who it was and what section of the city he was assigned. Would make sightings easier to get to. If I am assigned an area and say “‘I see him”, all the other hunters know where I am assigned and can head that way. Also they need to assign a boxing in team that’s only job is to be ready to scramble to a sighting. That way all the hunters do not leave their assigned area, only the boxing in team does.
I'm bringing (sexy) maps back. I try to find somewhere new and unusual each time for the map. The amount of times Alex was nearly scene (people driving past not very quickly) is high And Amy's big play at the end was great.
Watching the actual episode, I was literally shouting at the screen for you to bolt when you chose to play dead on the freeway. I know your exits were limited but moving was always better than standing still. I felt that they were definitely onto you before they surrounded your car
I am always surprised when they managed to get you given the (seeming) lack of coordination, strategy, hierarchy and consistent communication on the Hunters side. But it does look like a lot of fun for them! Genuinely my favourite videos to watch on YT.
the main thing that killed him at the end was the suit. if he didn’t have to be in it for that challenge i think playing dead could’ve worked much better, with the exception of hitting the brakes after being hit. i think ai if they are killed in a collision just roll to a stop unless already stopped or moving slowly.

He could've just changed out of the suit when he pulled into the parking lot *before* messaging about his car. If both tasks were meant to be done together they would have clarified it. Like, "Change into a suit and message someone the car you're driving." Making him do both together made it too easy for the hunters. But overall, it's all good. It's just a challenge anyway. lol

Second the call for bringing back some old school pink explosion STHs, these are great but would love to see the classic format being used every now and then. Maybe tweak rules/goals to keep it fresh - Alex and hunters can fire from car (with the hunter gun restrictions in place), Alex on foot for the full 24hrs, Alex has to hot swap cars at some point between pri explosions, no use of uncle Lester, only trucks/large vehicles used, bike only STH ....imagine being chased down by a biker gang! etc.
You realize the Prii version isn't the OG version, right? Only the past year or so. For years before that, he just drove around incognito. THAT we need back. Blow up a Prii, not so much. Go back and watch some of those in the single digits, and you'll realize how great these are now. If you wanna see (i believe) his first success, it was the original Christmas Present delivery.

I've been watching STH from the early days when Alex was struggling to complete the 24hrs I don't think those OG races will be as interesting anymore given how long Alex and hunters have had to hone their skill, also assume it becomes boring for them without something to mix it up
Alex: Consider letting go of the playing possum tactic. It creates a certain amount of suspense, but so do epic car chases. Hunters: Consider busting a cap in any 'dead' motorist. LSPD won't fault you for it. Alex will rabbit and you might land your shot. That said, in this case holding your fire and massing the troops worked brilliantly. Bravo! 🙂
How did the hunters go from taking several minutes just to determine "Jester by casino," to successfully tricking Alex into believing he hadn't been spotted, while instead organizing reinforcements out of sight and launching a coordinated attack? Those were polar opposites of efficiency. Imagine if the hunters were that ending level of organization all the time.
That last bit with the daytona just waiting reminded me of Thor watching Thanos waiting for the rest of the avengers in endgame. Awesome content as usual

This series is one of the better discoveries from the pandemic for me. I wonder if using random stickies would be a useful distraction. Drop a sticky and wait until your far away, then detonate. We see how quick the hunters react to explosions.
I have been waiting for this video for days! I kept checking everyday hoping to see it! Laddo getting blown up was the highlight of my experience watching StH last week!
I like doing it. It's just that I don't always have the availability. I normally work on gta filming nights so never really get a chance to do the map.

playing dead normally has a 50/50 chance to get you out of a mess but not when you're in gauntlet wearing a suit and they have just been told you're in a gauntlet wearing a suit. That being said, they deserved that win, the way they came at you was like a swat team, you were done the moment they appeared. GG
Especially with how inept they have been in some of the previous ones it makes them really hard to predict sometimes they are super good othertimes just kinda uhh idk a good word for it tbh
He sat way too long. AI doesn't do that...the car would have despawned by then. It makes sense when you have people RIGHT around you to play dead, but once they all drive off, it makes far more sense, even if they can see you, to get your ass out of town. His backup plan was to exit the vehicle on foot, which was equally terribad for an idea in the area he was at. He was gonna die there regardless.
"Holding the nerve" worked in the past because the hunters didn't have a clue to what vehicle you were driving. This was a special circumstance in which they did in fact have an idea of what vehicle you were driving. Also, what is it between you and Laddo?
I feel that you should try to use the C4 more, to distract them from catching you, and to give yourself an excuse to run away (because the AI cars would also freak out). Or, at least, shoot one pistol bullet from the car every in-game hour (to add a cooldown), but if you kill anyone with that bullet (since you could kill a hunter), then the hunters are told your location (to make it fair). The bullet would make at least one car freak out, which would help you get away more safely. This would also allow you to try riskier challenges, because you can also cause other vehicles to take damage, so it will be easier for you to not be caught when you have some damage. Alternatively, you could have one non-hunter who drives something slow to and uses the pistol or flare launcher to create chaos randomly around the city.
What's worse is that you was in your suit, which was a giveaway, all the more reason to move it quick before they came back for a second look. playing dead was never a option in this case. Only alex can explain what he was waiting for, and it will still not make sense at all. Unless he was away from his computer at the time.
No reason you couldn't add a few Pri's back in and have a task to blow one of them up. A little hark back to the much loved format. Otherwise, enjoyed the video, Alex. Can't wait for the next instalment!

I would for sure spend some time to buy all new outfits and get rid of all current outfits. If the suit gave you away, that's my recommendation. Also I think you should get a slight advantage. Might I suggest 2 quick peaks of the map per game? Just a thought!
hate to say it but its becoming obvious around the 50 min mark that alex does something out of the ordinary to create some action and to bring the episode to a close. after watching 44 episodes alex would never normally sit there for so long with so much heat knowing that the hunters know his in a gaunlet and afterwards watch them swarm towards him and do nothing. love the sth series but taskmaster is boring...it lacks tension and the chases we normally get with the exploding pri"s.

Did you ever consider trying to overtake the car in front of you at a light like the AI do on purpose to throw the hunters off your case and have them target the other car?
Just a small nitpick/observation/suggestion. Really needs some sort of transition between the change from your view to a hunter's view. The existing cut looked like a normal one, and if you hadn't said "from Laddo's view", it would be really easy to think that you had just gotten blown up. Maybe even a "Laddo Cam" watermark in the corner or something.

suggestion for the task list: Explode the Pink Pri at (LOCATION). And it's the ONLY Pri and belongs to one of the hunters so they know where it is and get notified when it explodes. Then there is no confusion about which Pri because they all know where it is.
I think that might have been taken off the list at the end because we wanted to drive more unique cars, but before the start we were asked if someone could put a pink prii out, so it may show up in the future
Wait, couldn't Laddo just say in which car you were? I mean on his replay we can see that the game focuses on your car after he died. How did he not notice that? Or is it illegal for a dead player to help?
Yes once a player is killed by Alex they are essentially out and can't join in again with the hunt, usually what happens is the playing will go into passive mode and just spectate
I would like to propose a potential game format to consider trying But first, I added Failrace to my daily routine at some point during the pandemic. It is one of the best channels on TH-cam, imo. Thank you so much for all the effort you and your team put in to creating this content for us. I think that you could combine the old 24 hour format with the escape and task master formats. 24 hours to blow up 3 cars 12 hours to escape The task master draws random tasks as you are trying to blow up the cars, and maybe during the escape. I think this would bring the best of all the formats together in an exciting way.
Maps are great but don't forget to turn the map audio off, that scrolling noise is awful. Keeping an eye on Laddo's channel in case he uploads a clip with audio.
With how organized the hunters were at the end, Alex needs to completely change his responses to the hunter's actions.

What I want to understand is, after Laddosauros was so wonderfully and poetically vaporised, why was he still poking his oar in afterwards?
I think he was riding with another hunter, so he didn't actually have any agency to affect the hunt.

He's been pinned/killed so many times playing dead, and it's only ever worked like once or twice but he keeps doing it.

What's worse is that you was in your suit, which was a giveaway, all the more reason to move it quick before they came back for a second look. playing dead was never a option in this case. Only alex can explain what he was waiting for, and it will still not make sense at all. Unless he was away from his computer at the time.

I would for sure spend some time to buy all new outfits and get rid of all current outfits. If the suit gave you away, that's my recommendation. Also I think you should get a slight advantage. Might I suggest 2 quick peaks of the map per game? Just a thought!
hate to say it but its becoming obvious around the 50 min mark that alex does something out of the ordinary to create some action and to bring the episode to a close. after watching 44 episodes alex would never normally sit there for so long with so much heat knowing that the hunters know his in a gaunlet and afterwards watch them swarm towards him and do nothing. love the sth series but taskmaster is boring...it lacks tension and the chases we normally get with the exploding pri"s.

Did you ever consider trying to overtake the car in front of you at a light like the AI do on purpose to throw the hunters off your case and have them target the other car?

Just a small nitpick/observation/suggestion. Really needs some sort of transition between the change from your view to a hunter's view. The existing cut looked like a normal one, and if you hadn't said "from Laddo's view", it would be really easy to think that you had just gotten blown up. Maybe even a "Laddo Cam" watermark in the corner or something.

suggestion for the task list:
Explode the Pink Pri at (LOCATION). And it's the ONLY Pri and belongs to one of the hunters so they know where it is and get notified when it explodes. Then there is no confusion about which Pri because they all know where it is.
I think that might have been taken off the list at the end because we wanted to drive more unique cars, but before the start we were asked if someone could put a pink prii out, so it may show up in the future
Wait, couldn't Laddo just say in which car you were? I mean on his replay we can see that the game focuses on your car after he died. How did he not notice that? Or is it illegal for a dead player to help?
Yes once a player is killed by Alex they are essentially out and can't join in again with the hunt, usually what happens is the playing will go into passive mode and just spectate

I think that you could combine the old 24 hour format with the escape and task master formats.
24 hours to blow up 3 cars
12 hours to escape
The task master draws random tasks as you are trying to blow up the cars, and maybe during the escape.
I think this would bring the best of all the formats together in an exciting way.
Yea sitting still for almost 2 minutes while the whole lobby raced to you was not the smartest decision🤣
Maybe the hunters also need tasks....

Maps are great but don't forget to turn the map audio off, that scrolling noise is awful. Keeping an eye on Laddo's channel in case he uploads a clip with audio.
