As a sorority alumna, I wish you would have tried out the house you really didn’t want- you could have dropped if it really wasn’t for you. Recruitment doesn’t always give the biggest picture of what a chapter is like. You could have possibly liked them.
However- if you think it may have been your GPA, you can always try to bring it up and join later. I had to do that when I joined.
I hope you find a home within your school- if it’s not Greek life, it’s ok! I also was in an honorary that was amazing and super social. There are also service greek orgs that are great.

This is coming from someone who has absolutely no interest in sororities .... I think you are too good for any of them and that God has better plans for you. You have a spark ... Light your own way. ❤❤
I rushed at USF my Junior year and I got dropped from the houses I really wanted and the ones that I felt like I didn't make a connection with. I rushed before GPhiB and Sigma Kappa were there. I could only get 2 houses back for pref night -- which I did. I followed my heart and now an alumna of Alpha Omicron Pi. I say try spring recruitment, but it is extremely hard to get into a house when you are a Senior.

Don’t try to force your way in if they didn’t want you . Find a place that appreciates you .
I transferred to USF as a Junior before Sigma Kappa got their charter on campus. After the first day I only had 3 chapters to visit and then 2 for Sisterhood and Pref. I felt super awkward and like an outsider. Part of it is the quota thing but there are so many different things that go into it. Even after being a Rho Gamma I still don’t understand how it works.
Would you recommend I try rushing in spring even tho I’m a junior and don’t know anyone in Greek life??
@@itskellydavid spring recruitment is different because its only the sororities that need to reach quota. I say go for it if the chapter that you fell in love with is recruiting. You could always reach out to your Rho Gamma and ask them for advice as they will know more about how the process currently works than I do.
