The Alaskan pipeline Valdez stories are pretty amazing my brother was actually saying he wanted to go up there and work the pipeline in the 70s that was a big thing for people to think about doing back down I can’t believe it’s become so historic. Also you should look up TH-cam or books on Dick Promeckey, I am probably spelling his last name wrong it’s a little bit off but he was remote and rural in Alaska in the 60s and they’ve done films on him you can find him on here you might really enjoy that.
I love watching your house you have the absolute best family and I think the perfect life! If I could come back reincarnated I would like to come back as you. You also have the most amazing husband! We left 2 good jobs to move 250 miles north in Michigan. Our families didn’t really agree but eventually understood.
It was the best thing we ever did with our 1 and 3 year old children. We moved to a snowbelt just north of mancilona lower Michigan. We received 250 inches plus of snow. We lived in a 1350 sq foot home with only wood heat. Those are some of the most memorable times as a family. We got snowed in. We had bears and deer in our back yard. We had a Christmas tree we went into the field and cut down ourselves. It was the most beautiful time of our life’s with our children.
Don’t you worry about what others think! Success doesn’t run after you,you have to run after it. This is life your way!

You actually can DIY a DEC approved septic system via their Approved Homeowner program if you haven't seen that. I think they understand a lot of people up there will just do it anyway so may as well make it possible to be legal. Would be interesting to find out if the previous owner went through the 'official' process or not.

Wow, wow, wow. Seeing those views, just truly puts into perspective just how small we all are but yet how significant our presence is. It was a good thing you happened upon that poor gentleman to help. God certainly always puts us where we need to be and when we need to be. I went thru an earthquake when I lived out in Cali. It was a 7.1 and it was super crazy, the ground rolled like waves which was different than the jerky earthquakes I've seen on tv of course but definitely sounds like a big truck coming thru! I bet your store trips are insanely expensive especially with just how much the cost of food has gone up here in PA, I'm certain that Alaska's are increased even more. Will you have a long drive to your new job and with you getting your license will you be driving each day? How do they maintain the roads up there? They look pretty clean and clear. May God continue to bless, protect, and strengthen all of you and thank you so much for bringing us into your home and sharing everything with us

Mitchell’s in Alaska on TH-cam did, got one there first year. Alone in Remote Alaska lives near you somewhere she’s friendly. Simply Living Alaska, they don’t play well with others lol but everyone else seems cool lol
Good morning ☀️ from Deep South Alabama, stumbled across you channel last night as I was just scrolling and falling asleep, I watched for a moment and went to sleep knowing that I want to see more so got up at like 3:30 am and watched all you videos. I just subscribed, love, love, love the videos and the way you post,it is raw and real, when I say raw I mean it as a compliment not critiquing your method….I’m looking forward to more videos! I have dreamed of Alaska for many years !! I’m now 60 years old and just bought land on the Kenai peninsula close to Soldotna..hope to start building in spring, enjoy every moment together !! Alaska IS definitely different !! Life there especially when you get a little bushy, no power no water your life is more intentional.. so in you last video you had a shot of the night sky and the constellation that you showed was Orion I’ve been looking up for years and love knowing the stars it brings me joy to know the names of at least some of them, God mentioned Orion and the pleiades in the Bible. There is an app called Star Rover it is so awesome very helpful.. keep living and learning, God bless !!
Wow I am grateful for your kindness and support!!! We love Soldotna area!! Our second pick for a home was in that area but my husband was really drawn to the copper valley. Good luck with your build in the spring!! It’s funny, a lot of people we have become close with up here, are from deep in the south. Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas. The lower 48 will question why you give up your heat for negative temps but those of us who choose to live here completely understand. Again, thank you for being here!
Yes to Orion and the Pleadians. They are two celestial star clusters close to my heart and I am grateful they are protecting me(us) right above our home 🙏🏼🙏🏼
