  • Trying out something a little different for Code That this week...Voice Over Nick has entered the chat. Anyway, this week we're building out very own Traffic Sign ML model using YOLOv5....all in 15 minutes.
You'll get a blast fast walkthrough of how to download and convert Pascal VOC annotations to YOLO format and how to apply them to a Kaggle Dataset using Yolov5 and Python.
    Hopefully you enjoyed this video.

Hi Nick! Love your videos! I'd like to ask you, will you be making a video on how to best structure a ML/DL project and repository? I think this kind of 'meta' stuff would be really useful and there aren't many online who talk about it!

  • @rgj1729

It would be very cool if you could build a rudimentary full stack self driving model for a car with object detection and sign detection.

My first project that I did back in 2017 i guess was road sign detection and recognition... After watching this it felt nostalgic... 🤣 Thank you so much Nick 😁

Another great job. I think you can comment the video steps after it is made, explaining the program.

Awesome stuff 👊👊 I liked it better when you talked because its cool to hear your thought process while you are coding. Perhaps increase the time limit to 20mins while talking, idk 😅 (i know that the results of the poll were no talking ,but still it feels more captivating when you do imo 😉 )

    • @NicholasRenotte
      @NicholasRenotte  ปีที่แล้ว +7

I agree, honestly it felt like more effort to do the voiceover as well. Not all that concerned about the time limit, I figured I should just try it out, I think next week we’re back to the old school way of doing it!

I think voice over Nick just needs some training. Explaining more like what coding Nick is doing. Like this 320 is figure size ... Like a sport commentator explaining for noobs . Coding Nick was more in the challenge. It felt more like he was trying to beat the clock .

    Hi Nick,
Love your work, I have a question regarding Object Dection videos like this, basically how would one go about performing an action after recognizing a particular sign/animal/object/etc...
say if you detect a stop sign, perform a function.
could anyone point me in a direction of where to go once you have your model running to do this?
    Cheers

    Beautiful work as always
but in all your videos in detection part you're always using pre-trained models like Yolo, mobilenet and vgg
is it hard to build one without using them?
I search for it but no one explain the concept clearly.
Thank you for all your work
