My bike of that vintage was the Suzuki katana 1100, best looking bike of the time hands down

We had a three week holiday in upstate New York last August from the UK and went to a few car/bike meets. Every single bike was a Harley. Every bike we saw on the road was a Harley 🙂
I think it’s because vintage guys don’t ride theirs as much. Need to get the out of the garage so people can enjoy them.
I had one new in 1983 👍 My 7th bike since starting riding at 15 in 1976 (including a year off to heal and learn to walk again in 1979/80 due to the perils of motorcycling 😬)

I’ll hit bike nights and it’s usually mostly Harley’s never bothers me. Usually the Harley guys look tiny bikes because that’s usually what they started on.
You'll soon get a following if your the guy that turns up at bike night on a different bike every week as long as its not a cruiser 😂 - I agree with others you had the best bike there!
Agreed. Think I will get my wife to ride her 78 Hondamatic with me next week. Then we double the vintage bikes in attendance.
It's good to get out and meet other riders. I always gravitate toward the other vintage bike guys.

Im liking these "old" bikes mate.... I keep comparing them to a new Z900RS but im finding that a 40 odd year old bike is making me think twice before buying..... nice work fella!

Biased as I work on them but the two best steering and handling retro models out there are the Z900 RS and The Royal Enfield Constellations both go well and make real world useable power not crotch rocket specials but fast enough and most importantly FUN in spades.
Enfield twins run Bosch Engine management and Bosch ABS so all good there, Z900 RS is detuned from 125 HP on the normal Z900 to 115 HP but more torque and more flexible power.
Both are great bikes
I’d love a GPZ1100, but I think it was surpassed by the GPZ900r.
