Did I miss the game info (player count especially) that is always shown in the videos?

Good catch. This was the first video I edited in the new review format, so I hadn't put those in yet. You'll see that info in all the reviews I do here on out.

Did Chris mean transparent instead of opaque? Because it sounds like he's saying it's easy to see. Unless I'm misunderstanding his point.

Haha, yes! That is what I meant. Oops!

While this game is not for me, I enjoyed the interaction between the 2 of you in the discussion of how the game plays -- gave good insight into the game mechanics and play. You are a great review team!

Thanks, we have a ton of fun together. I'm glad it shows! 😀

Have you tried the original Arkwright? How does this compare to that?

Neither of us have tried the original. Sorry.

The game overview segment felt a bit on the short side, but I appreciate the long review and explanation of said review segment.
By the way, it would be amazing to see a compilation of all the skits you (as in all of Dice Tower) have made. Skits like that amazing Reiner Knizia skit with Mike, or smaller ones like what you did with Switch&Signals 5/5 co-operation. I bet I've missed a ton of gems.
That thinking got me thinking that a Top 10 of favorite skits or reviews - made by DT or other board game youtubers - would be also really fun to see. You could share love to other contributors as well as re-share the awesome work you guys do.

Yes, you are right. As long you are the only one producing a good, there is nearly no interaction. When playing with 3 or 4 players you have at least 1 factory of the same type as your opponent, you will have much more interaction. With more players the playing time (and with it the downtimes) increases very much. The iconography is not the best, some components are very fiddly, and even the main cards are difficult to handle, because you permanently flip and rotate and rearrange your cards. Some nice ideas, but more work than fun….

Agree with your scores. I picked this up at Essen last year and really want to like this, but… the rulebook is a bit messy, the component quality is ok but not good or great (with my copy sometimes the cubes did not fit in the dual playerboards)and the gameplay is just fine. The solo is actually a mess as well and not very good. Playing it solo as just a beat your own score (using the mechanism described in the rulebook to adjust the market based on chit pulls) is better than the described solo Automa. Overall, yeah 6.5 or just about a 7.

Like the Lorenzo il Magnifico "card game" Masters of Renaissance 😆😜 CARD game? Ah well, whatever they call these games, they're fun and I like em. This Arkwright one looks interesting even tho you guys had some issues with it. BTW, you two should do more vids together - your chemistry comes off super smooth and natural.

Is it more like a 18xx in the way you interact than in brass?

It can be hard to do reviews with two people. The tendency is to just turn the camera on and “see what happens”. I’m here for the game, not for the “banter” and one person reviews tend to be more prepared, focused and structured. Sorry, but this style of review just isn’t for me.

Please go back to the old style thumbnails and titles. With the "Dice Tower Studio" branding, you can't tell who is doing the review the video title is muddled. I personally will watch less content, not more, if it's unclear who or what it's about.

My only problem with the titles is the decision to start adding short summaries of their opinion in the title. That is what will make me watch less. I like watching the overviews and then finding out what the reviewer thinks. I don't want to know what the general verdict is before I even start watching. For example, with the E.T. review the title states that it is an okay game. What incentive is there to watch the video when I've already been told it is just an ordinary game? Anyway, small complaint. I love this channel.
