good news everyone, second sunrise is now banned in modern, shortening the time between rounds down from 20-30 minutes down to around 10 now that we don't have to wait for the eggs decks trying to go off.
I am so happy Eggs is not a thing anymore. This combo deck makes watching magic boring and that's coming from someone who has played the game since 1997 lol.
it's not Eggs' fault that it's boring to watch. it's the way they do MTG streaming. if we had Duel Disks and Holograms and CGI animations of the monsters attacking each other, the spells being cast, or at least freaking arrows pointing out the 50 yard line, it would be much more interesting, HONESTLY. it's true that if you are in a super pro mode piloting the deck, it's not as fun as it can be piloting it casually, so at Events on the Day, there's less fun for the -players-......but the -viewers- are under no such stress as the pilots are, and have the luxury to sit back and relax and watch the drama unfold......but they need either their imagination, or a CGI sequence. if anyone wants Card Game Streaming to be Fun to watch, they need to bridge the gap between......this.......and the YGO Anime dub. Because the YGO Anime Dub made it more exciting than an Avengers movie, come on!!!!!!!
1 damage for cracking the "Fetch Lands" 2 damage for putting the "Shock Lands" into play untapped so crack Arid Mesa for 1 put Blood Crypt into play untapped for 2 play Knight of the Reliquary
Annoying player: I won a modern tourney Me: What did you play? Annoying player: Eggs Me: What did you win? Annoying player: a bunch of packs Me: can you return to the shop? Annoying player: no
I enjoy Eggs- if only because one of my friends plays it and it's not terrible to watch. The biggest issue is that it's so slow, and you can't just say "Well, I go off and win" like you can in other combo decks- like, with Sword of Truth and Thopter Factory or Kiki-Pod and Melira-Pod, you can more or less say "Okay, I've got my stuff, do you have a counterspell? No? Cool, I win." With Eggs, you need to play through the complete combo because you can mess it up etc.
.... how can it be unexpected if it was the deck that won the a pro tour in 2012 and has being showing up in almost every modern tournament since then?
i actually like the KCI version that runs open the vaults. I think it's even more stable than the old version. you can try to go off with just faiths reward but if you fizzle open the vaults and kci make it so you don't have to win in one turn. It also lets you use bane fire or bitter ordeal as win cons instead of spell bomb making it easy to just kill you.
I know I'll get a lot of hate for sharing this opinion, but there is precedent for what you say as Wizards banned Sensei's Divining Top in Extended because it made games take too long. This is slightly different as it's a whole deck and it's performing *new* actions, not just the same ones every turn, but holy buttfuck every set of 3 games with Eggs takes an hour and a half, lol, not even Sensei's Top activations at every priority pass could do that lol
Lets play a game together -> proceeds to play solo. Im a yugioh player who doesn't understand much about magic (played it for a few years) but i will never understand players who chose decks like this. I guess you need to be made out of a certain material.
Don't worry man, WotC doesn't like decks that consistently win on turn 3, so eggs will proabably get something banned. Personally, I don't see the deck as over-powered or anything, just boring.
So this guy in the video is incompetent then...nah, eggs has to go all the way through the deck to win. If your playing casual you don't have to check with your opponent on every play, and they understand you went off, but the truth is, yes, it CAN take that long. No, it doesn't always take that long, but it does sometimes.
lol Eggs, I cant believe they actually showed the entire game, its not even a strong deck but so time consuming and boring that they should just ban the Second Sunrise card in general (not the actual deck, I think Lotus Bloom is ok if you can't Reshape and keep doing that shiet)

Bro, 3 years later. How do you feel about Modern now?
"Now we go back to TWO people playing Magic" XD
everything else about this game aside, seeing the top 8 bracket at 11:46 really makes you realize how much more diverse modern used to be versus now
I don't think it was rude of Kibler to leave. Fuck watching someone play Magic by them self.
"Am I dead yet?"
-Brian Kibler
Haha, the F6 is hilarious. :D
I still have several decks with those Ascention sleeves. What a great deal it was.
the f6 emblem tho...

If there's not a card referencing the Kibler f6 in Unstabled, then I will lose faith in mtg.
Scapeshift is a good example of a combo that's not as bad as Eggs; it goes off, or it loses far faster than Eggs does.
I am so happy Eggs is not a thing anymore. This combo deck makes watching magic boring and that's coming from someone who has played the game since 1997 lol.
Andrew Valentine its is a thing thought, just with open the vaults

Greetings from the future. I've got bad news.
@@moodragonx2 What do you mean specifically? Teferi or Nexus of Fate?
@@florianw116 he was refering to KCI, banned already
1 damage for cracking the "Fetch Lands"
2 damage for putting the "Shock Lands" into play untapped
so crack Arid Mesa for 1
put Blood Crypt into play untapped for 2
play Knight of the Reliquary

just scoop after the 3rd cycle, the deck doesent fizzle after then
They forgot to count the noble's exalted trigger to mindcensor in it's first attack... (2nd game)

how much pain does he take from fetch lands?
I don't remember there being a time where F6 ever stopped your blocking
Was the blue player trying to put Exodia in his hand?
Basically

The new eggs deck is better. More stable than the old and shorter combo time
they banned second sunrise
I'm glad they banned Sunrise. Nothing against those that played the deck, but it just wasn't fun to play against and it's just too broken.
Wow, that dude playing Eggs totally looked like the South Park ginger kids come to life. And hes playing eggs so....hes even worse.
Lol how is it hard for Sharfman to deal with a GoST? The guy maindecks 4 pyroclasms.
eggs is only good because no one expects it, if it gets to popular people will jus play graveyard hate in the sideboard.
is not borig i think they will ban reshape
Eggs suuuuck.

Hi yugioh player, Have you seen exodia decks? It's just waiting for the exodia player to draw his entire deck first turn and either win or gives up.
Don't worry man, WotC doesn't like decks that consistently win on turn 3, so eggs will proabably get something banned. Personally, I don't see the deck as over-powered or anything, just boring.
Wow that's awful what he did was fine ...
Pfft Turn two Meddling Mage naming Second Sunrise
So this guy in the video is incompetent then...nah, eggs has to go all the way through the deck to win.

pffff, such a mediocre sb card, se still have faith reward and echoing truth sb. much better rule of law
