- Sri Lanka was my first ever backpacking international solo trip. My first solo trip abroad post covid . Sri Lanka is an island that can be explored by local buses, tuk-tuks, and taxis, and all I need is a small carry-on rucksack. After exploring the Dambulla Cave Temple , the cultural capital of Kandy, and the island's mountains, I would travel around the southern coastline of the island.

Nice video Visha. Sri lanka is in my travelling list but after the crisis there I am worrying either to go there or not. I will plan my trip there in November end considering the season. So can you please tell us it safe to go there?
It is safe trust me. There haven't any problems to foreigners. Sri Lankan people are very humble and Sri Lanka is a Buddist country. Sri Lankan foods, I have nothing to say. Kottu is the foreigners favourite food in Sri Lanka and Kottu is a Sri Lankan 🇱🇰 food. Try to taste it. I suggest you watch some kottu videos.

Hi Visha... one small point... when you boarded the private bus to Dambulla you sat in the last but one row.. Next time whenever you take a bus make it a point to sit in the front 2 rows.. You will get more coverage and you will be safer.. Sorry to give grandfather ly advice but v like your videos.. hence
