  • Meeting With the Mayor and City Manager @ Baxley Georgia City Hall on March 25 2024. To take their Temperature to see if they would be receptive to a settlement. On the Nov 5th 2022. Civil rights violations . My take on it, they might be open to that. Cause they did not refuse when I mention it. Sorry I had my phone in my shirt pocket and it was the position of the chair so the video is mostly audio but the audio is clear. I did not realize this at the meeting with the Mayor. Also I did not let them know I was recording cause I did not want them to cancel the meeting and I wanted them too be comfortable with us talking. Because I rather try to settle this out of court if possible and hoping I reach an agreement with them. This is the best possible outcome for me cause courts can take years to resolved this issue. With stuff like filing motions, taking deposition, appeals on ruling or appeals when they lose the case. It’s a long financial straining process. So for me best outcome would be if I can reach an agreement with them to settle. But if I cannot I still will file the suit in US District Court in Brunswick Georgia.

This is a leadership issue. The officer was wrong because of his ego. What was the supervisor’s excuse? What was the DA’s excuse? What was the chief’s excuse? Why didn’t the mayor or council step in? This goes to the top.

The officers are professionally trained to deescalate. It's their job to deescalate, not the citizens. It upsets me the mayor tries to hold you responsible in this conversation even partially, for the escalation.
I believe in polite redress of grievances to our government. It's not fair for the town officials to hold you responsible for how folks redress grievances for what the officers have caused. I hope you and the town can recover from this

Do NOT let them ever distract you with other peoples actions. For instance with whatever was on that officer complaint. They got you to talk and talk and talk and be defensive and you even agreed that it was tied to your name when the female said it. Watch watch you say. Focus on YOUR points. Keep at it.

Well, for all the bad publicity and negative comments that they are getting, The police are the cause of all of it. The police need to apologize to the mayor and his staff because they did not honor their oath. The mayor should fire chief Taylor. The man is an oath breaker and he is a liability to the city. Since the mayor doesn't want to fire him, he is just as guilty as the chief. You can't let this kind of behavior continue. I'm sure there have been other people that have had their rights ripped away because Taylor let's it go on.

You don't want to hurt the city of Baxter but the city of Baxter hurt you. The mayor is responsible for the people that are hired. He's known about this for a long time and did not fire Taylor. I'm sure he knows more than he's leading on. To me, he is just as guilty as the officers. He also raised his right hand to protect and defend the constitution and he dropped the ball.

You are in no way responsible for other people and their choices. I don’t care if “your name is attached to it.”
They refused to do the right thing and now they are the injured party because people are using some swear words emails? No they are not!

Any thing that others may due after seeing what THEY did to you isn’t on you. They are the causative factors of the whole situation thus if anyone reacts to what they did to you after watching a video that is on them. If they never violated your rights and kidnapped you under the color of law then none of this would have happened.

Wake up they're not respectful if they're not doing something about this chief of police or what happened they should be writing their wrong getting your business back telling the telling the community that you did nothing wrong they were in the wrong and go back and be customers of yours that's what they should be doing just because they're sitting here listening to you doesn't mean that they respect you that they feel bad for doing what they did to you all they're doing is giving you your time to try and persuade you not to sue them and hold them accountable

Just explain to the mayor if he doesn't do something about having a wicked evil Sheriff and police department that he will have to answer to God for the wickedness because he's allowing it to continue and what they did to you was pure wickedness evil to the core of their Wicked Souls

The fact that they can't get the video from a so-called failed camera that's their problem they chose to buy crappy cameras are they chose to pretend that there was something wrong with it or are they damaged it themselves but that video should be stored on something that could be recovered despite taking out the storage Ram the video was saved to so it is almost always a way to get the video out of a digital camera just because it won't hook up to their so-called system to download doesn't mean it can't be retrieved a different way and this is coming from somebody that's been in it for over 25 years so don't let them feed you a line of BS and you can go get their corporate number off the Internet it's not that hard

He sounds like a narcissist saying that you're a cop hater are you supposed to respect police that don't respect your rights that don't follow the law any police officer that doesn't follow the law or doesn't respect a citizen's rights doesn't deserve respect

Typical small town police department. The only people that will do police work is beginners living at home with their parents and has been's that no other agencies or departments will have. Then when they get "established" they become "big fish in a little pond"!!!
