This preview episode contains: Opening: 0:18 Minute 100m: 2:11 Minute 110m Hurdles: 3:10 Minute 4 x 100m Relay: 4:12 Minute Javeling Throw: 5:38 Minute Triple Jump: 7:09 Minute Discus Throw: 8:48 Minute Dream Racing: 10:40 Minute 1964 100m: 13:33 Minute 1964: 400m Hurdles: 14:20 Minute This playthrough will continue on November 5th. I find that having the same 20 characters and the new characters still restricted to one single event as well as getting rid of the Mii's is really disappointing.
I remember that event in the 2008 version, it was one of the best dream events ever. This game needs more dream events because three isn't going to cut it.
The models are good, but the design is kind of weird. Sonic has sharp teeth which I was never a fan of, and his mouth is also in the middle of his muzzle, which always annoys me
I hope Travis is back for Knuckles. Blaze's new voice actress is actually pretty good. She sounds more like she did back in the 06 days 😂 Silver on the other hand, I got used to his TSR voice during gameplay and I actually like it now. But hearing it in this game..he just sounds a little..off? Idk
Some events have rule setting options. For example, Football and Rugby Sevens have playtime setting options, while Badminton and Table Tennis have point setting options. When you get into these events, can you show me what option do I have in these events?
Agreed. The series has gotten stale with rio and scochi being pretty boring and Tokyo being just decent. Beijing,Vancouver, and London however were great games.
I have an idea for the potential other guest characters in game beacause there’s 24 events so we can have 12 additional guest characters. Well , Birdo for 4*100m relay, Sticks for archery , Wave for skateboard, Dry Bowser for discus throws , Omega for javelin throw, Pauline for Gymnastic , Roy for shot , Nabbit for 100 m , Dry bones for badminton , Big the cat for canoe
It is ridiculous that Sega has eliminated the Miis from this game, since many people underestimate them for being simple avatars, they deserve more prominence, they must also have more interaction and dialogues with all the characters of Mario and Sonic as if you really felt inside the game. Personally I will not buy this game PD: I wish that in a future Mario and Sonic game in the Olympic games, there is a category where you can customize your Mii with voice type options, customize celebration animations, joy, sadness, anger, running or walking, your special attack and its own static, as well as different and another option where it divides the type of gender if it is male or female with their respective characteristics and animations, one where you can choose the type of skills of the type: All-Round, Speed, Power , Technique, and customize them to your liking.

I noticed that only the 110m Hurdles and the Triple Jump had Guest slots. According to the Mario wiki, there are only twelve Guests this time around. For comparison, when looking at the menu, there are twenty-four events (Not counting the Retro Events). Back in Rio, every event had one Guest (Wii U) or at least one Guest (3DS). I have some theories about what the heck is going on: Theory A: The Guests will be playable in MORE THAN ONE EVENT. Twenty-four goes into twelve evenly, so that would mean that each Guest would be playable in two. Not a lot, but that's what every veteran got back in Rio for 3DS! Still a lot better than one! Did they hear our cries? Or... Theory B: As the game gets updated, more Guests will be added. This game seems to be taking itself more seriously. Online play, a story mode, and... updates! My guess is that until the real Tokyo Games end, the game will get updated with bug patches and maybe new Guests! Out of our twelve, we have six Mario and six Sonic characters. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. My guess is that like in Rio, some Guests will be in a Dream Event and an Olympic Event. For example, Dream Racing and Skateboarding will share a Guest. Twenty-one minus nine (Confirmed Guests and Dream Events) is twelve, so that would mean that we would have twelve more Guests on the way! We know twelve so far, and we also know that Toad, Cream, and Charmy are not playable. I have no idea who will take those remaining slots, but I really hope that we have more than six Guests!

I feel like people thing that this game is disappointing but here are my reasons of why u thing this game is great: 1: The character models are just AMAZING they look so much better from the last Olympic Games and I thing the clothes changing depending on each sport is just amazing as well for example the swimming the male characters a tilt have their shirts off and I know that people are going to say that they changed their cloths but this makes it feel more real 2: There characters they put in the game are the same because they are only putting the main stream characters like if they put pac man it would just be weird. And also the special characters are a great addition to the game giving it some variety to each event 3: the events change almost every new game and I LOVE it there are still the ones that are always in the game like swimming and the sprints but then there are new ones like surfing, karate, and skateboarding each time there is always something new to the game that make it better than the last and I thing that the game is wonderful Thank u for who ever read this and hope u have a good day🙃❤️

One thing i have to say, is the Character models look SOOO Good! Tho i wish the ingame character icons were better.

You don't have to play any event with motion controls. Every event is playable with buttons :)

Each guest character has one event. Espio for example is for Triple Jump, Rosalina for Surfing.

My current main concern is are you able to still pick the music for the event?
No, you can't. You can't unlock any music tracks you can use later in the events.
