I tend to water my indoor succulent plants with a regular size watering can, soak the soil and water again in about seven days, the soil is dry, not completely dry and this is what works for me. You can use a drill for mosaic. Dremel has one #567.

My neighbor did the lighthouse. It is awesome - very attractive and lights up her front porch. I call that practical - useful and aesthetic. :)
