Both my grandmothers, at my request, before they passed away, wrote me biographies of their lives. From where all they lived as a child to family happenings to school stories. Just anything that sticks out in their memories. How they lived back before some inventions we now have. Family illnesses. Sibling growing up stories, funny and serious. How my grandparents met. Jobs they had. Etc. I love going back and reading through them. Just looking at their handwriting.
That was such a wonderful idea. It’s too late for me now but I think I’ll do that for my family. Can you imagine how your great grandkids would feel reading it!
@@bettysteidel42 I think you surprising them with it would be the best ever. I know how much i treasure mine and when I start missing them I go back to these notebooks that give me great comfort. And it’s something that can be handed down through the family ❤️
My area (central FL) has a drive-in theater, Ruskin family drive-in. Hurricane Milton has turned it into a mess. Our local community is raising money & trying like hell to not allow it to fade out of existence 🤞
Congratulations on hitting the 200k That's an incredible growth from 14k in just a few months - what strategies or investments did you implement to achieve this remarkable success?
Hello, did you achieve such biweekly returns? I'm a newbie and I've lost a lot of money investing on my own. Please how do I go about it, the year has just started how can I make profit?
You're correct!! I make a lot of money without relying on the government. Investing in stocks, BTC, and XRP and digital currencies is beneficial at this moment.
As a it is essential that you have a mentor to help you stay accountable. In my case, Ann Marie strunk has guided me for months and I highly recommend her. I focus on her. To be honest, I'm almost hesitant to let someone take charge of growing my finances, but I'm so glad I did.
Wow I'm shocked you mentioned expert Mrs Ann Marie strunk, when someone is straight forward and good at what she does best. People will always speak for them.
I loved my mom's fried squirrel with homemade Gravy And buttermilk biscuits, we weren't poor it was just the way my parents were raised and raised us to eat off the land

I can remember as a kid we would load up the station wagon and we would go to the drive in (6 kids) a cooler of snacks, sandwiches etc and take in the movie. I fell asleep during the fly and woke up to this GIANT FLY on the screen. We don't go to may places being dairy farmers but we sure liked to go. My brotgers would fight over which ones turn it was to get the speaker off the pole.
Jamie, I would make "goulash " once a week. I'd start with a box of mac and cheese and add whatever was leftover in the refrigerator. Depending on what I had for soup, I'd add a can or too. Sometimes it was really good and other times it wasn't. But it's what we had, and I didn't want to waste leftovers. Most of my grandchildren will not eat leftovers. I just shake my head.
You did it for ability to eat We had squirrel rabbit fish,my job was fish cleaner and pepper. Turtle soup like 65 years ago along with cow tongue stinks when cooking❤❤
My daughter gave me & my husband the same book to fill out. Im 36 & my husband is 39. At first i was so touched that she wanted to know things like that. I rushed and filled out the first 10 pages, but i will say (regrettably) I havent touched it since & you're reminding me that I told myself I would spend 5 minutes a day on it. My husband hasnt even touched his, so that makes me feel a little better! 😂
Oh, this is a rough time of year traveling from PA to TX with a bull. Prayers for Justin🙏 my son will be coming from ND to OK next week and I always worry about him driving here and back in winter 🥶 weather is dicey. Everyone, stay warm and safe🙏❤️🙏
We had a little blue VW and most everyday to get it going we would have to push it to the end of our street where it would start going downhill. LOL LOL My Mother would pop the clutch and it would start. We 4 kids would all pile in that little car., with no seatbelts, air etc. LOL those were the days. Thanks for helping me remember that memory.
Replay. Stories from our parents are so fascinating! My Mom told me so many stories, but my Dad never talked about things. I had the privilege of typing out my Mom's history for us as family.
We live here in North Carolina and great Pyrenees dogs roam a lot here as well. Putting an AirTag on the dogs collars will help you be able to locate them easier next time.
We grew up poor, but so did everyone. We didn't realize it because we had our needs not all our wants. We were blessed that my mom kept us safe and warm, my dad had passed away when I wad 28 months, one brother was 4 the other was 6
My daughter gave me "Storyworth" for Christmas 2023. You get a question every week and it is all on line. I also created my own chapters and had MANY MANY pictures. At the end of the year after I edit it they print an ACTUAL BOOK of my life.
Catching Replay from Chattanooga Tennessee. Jami my Childhood eating was like yours. My daddy tells everyone that my sister and I didnt know til like 15 and 16 that you bought meat in stores cause our family raised beef chickens and hunting and fishing was our food
Congratulation on your new eating/drinking efforts. Please keep in mind that even tho you are not drinking the sugary soda, the diet sodas still have artificial sweeteners in them and that's not the best thing for us either. My kidney doctor says water with lemon is the best thing for you. Keep up the great work!!
Here’s something really funny that my husband does when he goes to a chicken place, like KFC. He would go there and say I’d like to order a bucket of chicken beaks. You know most fast food places they are kids. They would say to him we don’t sell chicken beaks. My husband would say, but I just bought a bucket of chicken beaks last week! The kid would say, I’ll check with my manager and he would go in the back. Then they would come back and then they would all laugh. Ha! Ha! Try it with Lex. Ask your dad to use that book and the questions in it for his videos. He’s a great storyteller.👍
I hope that you help your dad fill out that book. I bought one for my mom. She was Japanese and I really wanted it in her words. Unfortunately she died in 2015 and the book was barely started 😢
The hard part of pranks is that we don't know what will trigger memories for others. It was funny, Lester. You just didn't know that it would be a trigger for Gigi.
