Hi Ziet, thanks for sharing this informative video. I am a fresh graduate with no credit card and currently working in Singapore with a monthly salary of SGD2800. Most of my spending in Malaysia is on weekends such as jalan-jalan, dining out and sometimes petrol.
However, I would like to apply for a credit card to build up my credit score. Do you have any suggestion on which credit card is suitable for me?

Hi! I would personally start off with a cashback or points credit card, something like the UOB One will be a great start - plus there’s UOB branches in Singapore too

So get more credit cards will hurt the score, but having more credit card limit with less usage is good ?

I think the key is to not apply multiple credit cards within a short period of time!

No, you can’t unless you work in Malaysia.

Hi, apart from servicing a home loan, you can actually get malaysian credit cards and use them overseas, while repaying them on time - that will help you to build your credit score too! Hi Ziet! If i downgrade my credit card to another card that has no annual fees within the same bank, will my credit score be hurt like the part you mentioned on closing the credit card?

Does completing a loan, such as personal or hire purchase wipe out its history on CCRIS? I.e. Is it similar to credit card cancellation like you said?

Nope! As far as i know the history of repayment sticks, showing your track record as a pay master 😄
