Nice Guitar! I had once read in a classic car magazine Fender used certain colors of automotive paint on some of their guitars, that Firebird looks like it could be 1964 Oldsmobile Sunset Mist or 1964 Buick Camelot Rose Metallic, I think Pontiac used it as a special order color too, I have seen 64 GTOs painted that color.

You have to flip the magnet to get the pickup in Phase with the other one but before you do that, and, if you have a separate volume for each pickup, the out of phase position with both pickups on, yields many many tonal Variations by adjusting the volume of each pickup. More so than if they're in phase. Try that. But even better replace the neck pickup with another mini humbucker that has adjustable pole pieces. Much crisper, more articulate, better sounding pick up.

I think your bridge pup might actually be an old neck pup from the guitar it was pulled from. At 5:00 in, you'll see we looked at the PAT no. but if you look how it's installed based on the pickup lead, it puts that PAT no upside down when installed, giving us the out of phase sound.
