I had to subscribe. I love that you guys are educating on the subject. My youngest son just got a baby ball python in June and I got stuck caring for him. He's so sweet. But family started trying to throw scripture at me and say the snake will eat my son when he gets big. First thing I told them is that with Christ there shouldn't be any fear, not even with a snake. Second I just wanted to point out that God led me to really look at the word serpent and the definitions. I don't think the Bible really uses the term snake very often, it usually uses the term serpent. If you look at the English definition, the first one is snake, but it also is a term used for someone who is cunning and can't be trusted. And that's exactly what lucifer was.... someone who couldn't be trusted ultimately. Then I looked up the Hebrew definition and it says a few things. I remember one definition being a sea monster and then the other one was a fiery angel. None translated into a snake though. I think serpent is more a metaphor for the enemy than an actual snake. Just my 2 cents, or discernment I should say. Lol
