I appreciate the fact you always let the engines generate heat before putting them under load. Being a mechanic for 37 years and a certified diesel mechanic a lot of people don't realize how important it is by what you do. If you want to damage a diesel engine just start a cold engine under high RPM or put it under load before heating up. Best way i know how to either blow a head gasket or crack a head. Keep doing what your doing Mike cause your doing it right.
The time &effort you put in is highly appreciated mike, these vids are awesome
Thanks good sir! 🙂
Just Awesome!!!
Finally someone is putting the effort into a real apples to apples comparison. Thank you Mike.
This channel is wildly underrated. One of the top 4 farm tubers there is. Keep it up Mike!
Haha thanks good sir 🙂
@mikemitchell2554 you're #1 bar none.
Mike ,,my dad retired from farming back in mid 70s last tractor was a 4630 JD he died at age of 97 few month back,, he along with many old times would have loved to rode in those implements your using today, and if your grandfather is alive let him give it a run
TO be quite honest,i never ever seen such a thing on youtube to be pulled out by a random farmer.
The shit just got real,lmao.
Thanks Mike for doing this.
Haha thanks man 🙂👌
@@mikemitchell2554Thank you random farmer 🙂
@@ITubeTooInc I see what are you trying to do,but i still say at my statement. Just a year ago,he had less than 30k subs.
Thankfully algoritm picked up on his channel and he's getting more and more views day by day.
Is there a limit to how much fun you can have? As long as the new computers (today's farm equipment) keep coming for you to test, fun is unlimited. This series just might be your most viewed.
The best guys and videos on youtube 🤘🤘🤘 keep rocking Mike and the crew. Hello from Israel
My money is on this Fendt i don't see the Deere catching up to the Fendt certainly not with that slow shifting
Thats a good point. considering the small amount of time you spend doing that, maybe a rolling start would have been a better comparison.
This is what makes this drag race so exciting! Very efficient two track design of the Fendt, but with the disadvantage of the cvt against four track John Deere, more complex setup but manual transmission ( well not actually). Who will win? I have been thinking about this quite a while. 😊
My guess: This time old Johnny, but in front of the drill with all the hydraulic vans the Fendt.
@@mariorembold7999 fuel burn will also be interesting!
@@MiracleManMatt For fuel economy I would not do a max pull. All tractors on 6 mile constant pull, so the most efficient system will win.
@@mariorembold7999 obviously thenlong the better, but if they are getting a fairly consistent fuel burn over last 3/4 of the straight which the fendt was showing it would be accurate enough for a comparison.
Great video. Thanks for the effort and laying out the expense to do this. Running all that iron isn't cheap for science!
Thank you acknowledging that, much appreciated 🙂
Mike is deadly serious about this! He won’t even steer to the side to miss an orange cone!
I’m starting a petition to encourage Mitchell to upload minimum 3 vids on Saturdays. Call it Savage Saturdays. YOU HAVE THE FOOTAGE MIKE! DEW IT!
Really appreciate these vids you do for us mike, The amount of time and effort u put in these videos for us is amazing, keep up the great videos very well appreciated!
Hey Mike, thanks for the awesome info, video quality, and content. Really makes it feel like we’re there!
Image quality looks amazing.
This is a good test Mike shame the case is not in the test as well !
I hope you put in a video comments from who ever normally runs the 2 track JD what they think of it.
You could host your own "ride and drive" better than at Farm Progress Show! Very well done sir!
Awesome content! Thanks for taking the time to do this, Mike!
Dude, this is awesome. Thanks Mike and everyone involved 💪
Neat. Looks like fun! Lots of getting stuff together and time and money but fun none the less!
Awesome Awesome Awesome!!!
Keep em vids coming champ🤙🏾🤙🏾✌🏽✌🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Can’t wait for the rest of the tractors to compete, and the drone footage👍🏽💪🏽
I'm excited to see how the others compare to the big Fendt 1167 in this pull off.
Right, I’m in the U.K. and my connection to farming is my mum and uncle farming 20 cattle and 200 sheep on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. So, I’ve been desperately trying not to get caught up in this test of tractors, each of which is as long as each of my mum’s fields🤣🤣🤣 But I failed. I’m completely hooked and can’t wait for the next episode 🌈😊🥳🥳🥳
I love the new redesign on the fendt. I used to hate the old one with a passion.
To me its still hideous like fendts have always been.. that 9560 is just pure eye candy. And i am not even a jd guy, i dont give anshit about the brand, they all have their good and bad im with mike, brands is not the issue.
@@RoisinT2 🤡
New Fendt looks like a beast!!!!
Надёжность, мощь,простота в обслуживании и качество
Was there a fuel consumption stat collected on the 1167 for that test
Great video!
Seeing as you had the drone, it would have been interesting to till for a set time limit (e.g. 2 min.)
Then, comparing the various machines would have made a bar graph seen from the air. lol
That MAN engine😍💪🏼
Just need a big bud 747 in the mix too! ;) love the videos. great work!
Can't wait to see the rest!
The Fendt 1167 looks very great 😎
You guys should have a bert out there too.
You're making bigtractorpower jealous with this video!
Hello Mike, grand grand videos 💪👍🤩👨🌾🇮🇹
Proprio un bel video
@@beppihappy836 👍🇮🇹
Mike you are awsome ! Love that content !! Would love to see how the old Johnny compete !! 🤣
Well Mike which ever tractor that wins this competition it surely is the best no doubts about that
The test ground is actually the best to test the Fendt 1167. I have been waiting to see if the fendt stands a chance against the Deere in pulling.
Welldone Mike keep going man
Come on Mike your killing us hahaha but I'll have to say your the only one to do it right and this is the right way thanks
Thanks good sir 🙂
This is so interresting to watch
Did you know that you can change direction with joystic by tilting it left while pressin the lock button on back of the joystic? A lot easy than using that little button near steeringwheel.
Nice videos, keep it coming!
Wow thats a lot of time and effort good job Mike
This is some high quality content!!! Love it
Hi Mike , loving the Videos as usual can’t wait to see which wins . F1 now that’s what I do for a living !😄
Thanks Mike!
Lets hope the manufacteurs decide to send you all their high horsepower equipment for you to test. Ive yet to see someone other then you actually push these tractors to their limits and beyond! Wouldve loved to see the 1167 pulling one of the big seed carts, but there is always next year and hopefully they have the programming all worked out. Looking forward to the rest of the protill testing.
This is so awesome! 💪 Wonderful Job Mike! 😊
Have been waiting for this video so long
That is a really good test with that Ground. I like it👍💪
Boy is that country down in southern Saskatchewan ever DRY!!! I can see where the moisture was being worked up but the cracks in the slough bed would have eventually dried that old bottom out. In a normal year on June 6th there would have been water at the bottom of that hole. And with the extreme heat that would have followed this video there would have been only dust left......and hopefully it wasn't alkaline to blow it over the landscape
It's like topgear but with tractors
Nothing like TG unless he starts to blow up shit.. 🤭
Really enjoy your videos and the information you give. Yesterday I was out and about and saw a brand new Degelman Pro Till on a dealer's lot in a neighboring town about 25 miles from home. First one I have ever seen here in Iowa, they are impressive close up! Looked to be the same size as yours.
Mike 900 and 1000 series getting a new air (self cleaning) filter and laminated glass😎
That's awesome!
I cant resest to think that all these vids Mike saying it needs to be industry standard/he had that one blow up (bad pr for fendt) and that the air filter is so bad on the 1050 are somewhat inflluenced that.. i think someone in Agco, maybe other brands too (at least they shoul, IMO - from here they have honest info) do watch these with open ears..
Keep going Mike, this is what we need as farmers - manufacturers to listen to us/make stuff suit for us, not only to suit some engineer dudes wet day dreams wich in real life and on work are just pos..
It comes at a cost tho, bc of it the fuel tank on a 1000 Gen 3 is actually bout 60 liters (15 gal) smaller...
Great stuff Mike and great teamwork.
I love your reviews mike you do great at it so honest and no bias opinion at all. I heard those Arendt two tracks are awesome but like I said in a previous video just get a quadtrac. It would be awesome if John Deere made a 9 series tractor that was the same as the 8RX is. Versatile finally gave me a date they are dropping off a 610 Delta Trac at the end of august for wheat harvest everyone I talk to swears the make the nicest quadtrac out there right now. We owned a 9570RT for a few years and in that time I came to the conclusion that the two track are about the worst design for heavy high horse power tractor.
Funny how other tractors make the jd two track look cute and tiny, meanwhile it's probably as big as my room.
Hey Mike I noticed the little metal warning sigh on ya intake is giving it the little dangle :)
This is awesome! Thanks Mike, love the idea!
👍awesome video guys God Bless
What temp is the engine at the end of the plow session?
nice tractor
Looking forward to this for some reason
Love love
Lol ive marked a line lol: protilt 500 acres for it
Hello mike
Awesome series Mike!
Modern agriculture
Mike why you don’t use the joystick to the left for going an other direction forward of reverse ? It’s easy to use
I believe he mentioned this in the last video.
This tractor does not have that option and he was having a hard time getting used to it not being there.
@@delbertstreicher3802 he meant on the joystick if you hold the trigger and slap it to the left you can shuttle into reverse instead of pulling back on it and then clicking it into reverse. The mt series don't have the left hand reverse option
@@calebrozeboom yes I see now I didn't read correctly.
Morning
awesome, thanks for sharing
I believe Fendt and Challenger are both AGCO products. Are the Challenger and Fendt two tracks similar?
This is the Saskatchewan prairie version of the Bonneville Salt Flats but with farm machinery at a lower race speed.
Don’t give Mike any ideas. He’ll have a jet engine strapped to a tractor in no time…
a quadtrac had made the race perfect, but still a awesome race. i cant say at this time who would win D:
Sheeeit. Just like Texas blackland prairie
Nice Machines 👍
Nice video Mike
Nice test to see! It's a pity a correct fuel consumption test are so hard to do practicticaly and simple out on a field. Even to top up tank and refill is very hard to do under same conditions.
That thing pulls like a tank
The 1050 pulled the protill at 10+ also. 😃
Haha stay tuned 😉
Wasn't in the ground all the way if I remember right he wasn't running it to the stops last fall
Drone pictures?? now you spoil us Mike👍
Yes... But ran into issues with them and won't be able to upload.. Sorry
@@mikemitchell2554 It was too good to be true then😂😂
when you said nick i thought of welker lol
This is an awesome video. Thanks Mike
Fendt...N1.
what the top rpm working range for this engine? dashboard rpm shows 1580-1640 depending on where you want it on the gas, I mean what's rpm max.
Does the white thing on the ground is a lime?
For dried up sloughs, what crop are you planning on planting? I apologize if you’ve answered that question earlier. I ask b/c I figure the soil composition would be different after being under a slough for 20 yrs, etc. Cheers
Probably won't be planted like a lot of guys in Saskatchewan, we just leave them because if we get a big rain it will be flooded out again so there's no point.
Thanks for the reply. I remember, back in the day, a lot of sloughs between Edm & Lloyd were quite high in alkaline and so I figured not much would grow in the soil until the ph level was lowered. Cheers
That's awesome content !!!
I wish I could afford a pro till for our farm they are so damn expensive😂
Epic test!!
Lee looks Like your twin broher. Very confusing 🤔
RIP pylon. 2021-2021
🤣
Just chalk it up to covid seems that's what they did hear in the states regardless of cause lol
I would be interesting to record percent slip
this awesome
Any way u could get a 620 quad there as well?
Are you guys up by Climax
This is the Saskatchewan prairie version of the Bonniville
What drone do you have
He doesn't have a drone, no time.
Project farm of tractors
Mike,we have fendt one on de 1050
Nice!
