Wow this place is amazing. However, i honestly didn’t like the editing of this. Too quick and going back and forth between the floor plan took away from the experience of being “in” the home. I like how Enes Yilmazer does his videos. You can really take in the house like you’re there.
I worked a few private events in this loft, the owners were related to a friend. One time I was setting up a bar in the raised family room and glanced at picture of Katherine Zeta Zones IN this loft. I asked one of the owners what the story was and he told me that it was used as her place in the film High Fidelity with John Cusack. Great space for sure
I usually hate lofts. I associate them with trust fund baby Manhattan artists (I'm bitter), but this was beautiful - the plants / greenery helped. Very well photographed too. Probably the best example of a loft conversion I've ever seen. Love it.
It really bothers me that bedrooms 2 & 3 have to share the en-suite bathroom in bedroom 2. That’s weird having to entire someone else’s room to get to the bathroom
The one thing that didn't scream artist loft was the movie poster for "Oblivion" starring Tom Cruise. Unless this IS Tom Cruise's loft...in which case, awesome.
omg that was my bedroom, i got those movie posters as gifts and they've just been up ever since, they totally do throw off the aesthetic of the whole thing you're right 😭
This isn't for artists, this is for.... CEOs? Financial investors? I am literally too poor to know who this is for. If I ever had enough money to buy this type of place, I wouldn't waste it on a open concept condo, I would buy a farm in the country and raise sheep.
Lower level layout is weird, why not put the master suite on one side, the two additional bedrooms on the other side with a bathroom between them Jack and Jill style. The house is amazing tho
Nice layout, except for the on suite bathroom. They should have made that second bedroom a gym or office. No point of having a master bathroom if someone has to come in and use the shower.
@@colinbutt143 Seriously?! For 4,000 square feet and those high-end features? The *median* price for a home here in Boulder, CO (single family, sure, but *not* this big or this nice) is 1.2 million. Almost makes me wish I were still in Chicago. . . . almost. 😉
Realtors always say, "Location, location, location." For $1.5M, you have NO IDEA what that can get you outside of Chicago. People, if your job isn't tying you down to this location, GET OUT of big cities. Unless you want to pay a premium. Thankfully the pandemic had its upsides-remote work. I moved to Chicago for a career, but now I have it AND it's remote, move to a place that makes YOU happy. Not your job. Family and friends with a comfortable chill life.... priceless.
That bathroom situation on the lower level... no way for bedroom 2 to access without walking into someone else’s bedroom or up the stairs... what were they thinking? That parents would enjoy designating a least/favorite child
@@herrinvonribbeck The only reason artists get rich anymore is if by coincidence some rich people picked their stuff to push back and forth to write off taxes and launder money.
@@somethang2865 that’s fortunately not always true.. might be correct regarding pop / pop culture artists though. But I know plenty of really rich artists that all made it by themselves.. It’s dependent on the branch of artistry you’re in I guess
This is drop dead gorgeous!! I love it!!!
Likewise! Such an unique layout
Beautiful use of space and light.
This is really nice. The greenery was exactly what the space needed.
would've appreciated more of it in the lower level, i feel like it didn't match the top, because there weren't any plants
Great property.
it really is!

Thanks! That’s what the client wanted. So that’s what the client got.
Wow.enough already. I’m so jealous it hurts😭😭 this is the industrial heaven of a home I only dream about having the luxury of living in
Right? It's one of my favs

It’s such an awesome living space. One of my favs in the city
beautiful
I lived in Chicago for college. It’s the one place I dream often of getting back to.
Same. Isn’t college in Chicago a nostalgic experience? I’ve lived in other cities but always feel a pull to Chicago.
Wow. Looks so peaceful.
This unit sold for $1.5M in 2015. How can an artist afford this 😂
They can't
not bad at all for chicago.
A scam artist may be able to afford this.
OMG...thought exactly that a few seconds into the tour 😂
@@radium05 💀💀
I like the concept.
The unit is beautiful! Though the cinematography and editing are a close second!
Right?! Haha thank you!!

Some artists clearly aren’t starving.
😂
On the dining room at 1:10 there's this Scrabble ornament letters, F/U 🤣

"true artist's loft" - as in no artist could truly afford this ... or anybody with a middle class income. Pompous nonsense.
there are artists who are incredibly rich.
Truth be told - If you're really successfull as an artist you can earn way more than at any corporate job lol
