13:00 On the MacOS version of premiere pro if you hold the option key and click on any of the drop down arrows it will expand or collapse all the tabs within the plugin, effect or menu you're using.

Great comparison video! I love your suggestion about markers next to tabs to show if effect inside is enabled. Has Dehancer responded to this request? It would solve a huge problem with endless scrolling and tab management. I really hope they integrate it for easier and more efficient tab work.

Correct! The Lite version has all the film profiles that you find in the Pro version. I just double-checked it for you and I also noticed that, in the latest update (v2.01), they added about 10 new film profiles. This is great as it shows they are constantly improving their plugins :))
(UPDATED) Hi there! 13:25 is where I respond to your question. The v.2.0 described on this video allowed to create a LUT but without saving all the features, which is not ideal. I just checked the current version, which is the v.7.2.1, and as stated on the Dehancer's website (www.dehancer.com/learn/article/lut ) "an exported LUT doesn’t include the effects based on geometric transformation or local corrections (including Film Grain, Halation, Bloom, Vignette, Film Breath and Gate Weave) and therefore cannot be used as a grading preset" Furthermore, on my video at 11:14, I share my personal cons.
sorry Ive got another question , what does it mean when you print ? like if I choose like a Kodak Vision3 250D profile and then print it in Kodak 2383 how will that make it different then just printing it in the one linear option in the lite version , pretty much thats the only thing holding me back from getting the pro version? does the print in that Kodak 2383 make a huge difference ? what is it doing ?
Hi again! No worries at all, I'm here to help as much as I can, so I'm happy to respond to your question. If I understood correctly, you'd like to know if KODAK 2383 print makes a huge difference compared to choosing LINEAR. It definitely does because LINEAR is a transparent profile, whereas KODAK 2383 has its own character. Speaking about applying the KODAK 2383 print, I don't know if you would consider its effect "a huge difference" because it's down to one's subjectivity and taste but certainly every Print presets provides a pretty visible change and it's an important step of the process in my opinion. As you can read on the Dehancer manual, that you can download from their website, under HELP / MANUALS: "Any print has its own tint, photo latitude and contrast curve." And also: "LINEAR is a pure profile without the influence of the characteristics of photographic paper." Personally, I worked on projects where I've used "Linear" as I didn't need to add anything to the film emulation and also other projects where the Print presets, like KODAK 2383 or FUJIFILM 3513, came very much in handy to make the look more "punchy". If you haven't yet, I recommend reading the manual as it goes into the details of each single tab, with lots of interesting info. If after reading it, you're still torn between the Pro and Lite Version the two, I would advice to try the 30 days Free Trial, so that you can see with your eyes what each tab provides, especially the Print one in your case. I hope this was helpful 🙏
Watch at 6:38, where I show that the Lite version has no Print profiles, whilst the Pro one features 4 Print stocks (including the Kodak 2383). Since I published it, I saw Dehancer releasing a few updates for both versions, though. It might be worth downloading the 1 month free trial and test it for yourself to see if they've added any stock presets to the Print tab in the Lite version. I just bought the lite version, I can now confirm that it doesn't come with stock film prints, just some tools to tweak the print settings. I should probably upgrade it to the pro version later @@ClaudioDesideriFilms

This was helpful. But I'm an amateur/hobbyist. At 74, not looking to start a new career as a video editor! But I want the film look for some of my videos. From a hobby standpoint, trying to figure out what the pro version gets me over the lite. (How much money you have to spend is an obvious factor...)
Hello and I'm glad this was helpful. Personally, I prefer the Pro Version because, having all the features, it is a peace of mind. In your case, the Lite version could be a great choice as you can still achieve a remarkable film look with it. The Lite version doesn't have the following features: Film Developer, Film Compression, Halation, Film Damage, Film Breath, Gate Weave and LUT Generator. Amongst these, if I had the Lite version, the ones I would definitely miss are Film Compression, Halation and Film Damage. In my opinion, those 3 are crucial to spice up the final video and help give that final film vibe, especially Halation, which is a phenomenal tool. Film Compression is great too, as it brings down the highlights to achieve the famous "decontrasted" look and it gives the sky an amazing old tint, which is so typical of the celluloid. Furthermore, Film Breath and Gate Weave are also cool as they make the colours and playback jittery (more or less at your own choice) just like you see on the old films. I have used those two less than the other features, because the style I wanted to achieve didn't require them in every project but it's nice to have them and every time I've used them, they served the purpose very well. @Greacher1 Your clips don't necessarily need to be in the log profile. If they're not log, simply don't select any profile in the INPUT tab and edit them using the other tabs. Obviously, shooting in log profile would be ideal :) Enjoy the plugin!

Please don't take my comment the wrong way, but, the (light) version clearly shows that with a good color correction, such as shadows, highlights, midtones you could have a better view of the video and the truth is that it seems unfair to me, that they don't tell the truth, on that subject, I clarify that I am not a videographer or colorist, I am just a simple user who has taken time and a lot of effort to learn. Videos I copy luminance color wheels, etc. etc.
Yeah, it's very reasonable. The Pro version clips show the feature "Halation" and other more subtle ones, too. The Lite clips don't show those features because they are not available in the Lite version. I personally love the "Halation" feature, which is a selling point for the Pro Version, in my opinion. Especially because I've always loved to add that specific detail to my videos in the past, anyway. Said that, I agree with you that the Lite version still provides enough features to get an impressive film look :) I'm glad the video was helpful 🍻
for sure I watched your whole video , I think the print feature is what I would miss the most , I already use a mist filter and have several different halation/diffusion/ type plugins I can use , as I said I prefer a more subtle look anyway, I would use those very sparingly, even my mist filter is a 1/8 , cheers , Im in Canada so the price difference is about 300$@@ClaudioDesideriFilms
