It decreases the likelihood of the hot pan's being tipped over and the contents being spilled over onto Gaitlyn Rae or whoever may bump it. I know that chronologically she's a little older, but I see her as a beloved toddler. Thanks.

Have you ever baked your potatoes first with skin in foil or not it doesn’t really matter then peel cut and put in soup. But it does add a little different taste. But it’s delicious. Sometimes I do but sometimes I boil. Something about baking them makes the soup a little creamier and it also does help with the thickening if it. Just an idea..

Suggestion cook potatoes in your chicken broth till they are just fork tender. Then add your onion and cream rouge and this won't take three hours. The hot potato water will thicken that rouge up quickly. I also cook a dozen eggs and hard boil them, then grate them adding to soup to next level. Parsley to garnish. Just a help, take it or leave it. I'm from Pennsylvania and cook Pa dutch food. Love you all.

Haven’t seen him in years and only knew his son (my only nephew for the first six months of his life) it was heartbreaking, especially because our dad got sick and he never thought he’d see his son or grandson again.
I’m with ya on the recipes! I grew up in my grandmas kitchen and she never had a recipie. So since learned from her just cooking I have the same issue. My daughters also have done the same, however they have requested a recipient box from me and let me tell you 2 years into it I haven’t gotten very far. Lol!! 😂I try to just remember and once in awhile grab a couple cards and write out something that I’m making. But it’s hard it feels like I have to create the recipient with measurements. So funny though they always seem to end with “To Taste “or “However much you want to put”. So lucky for them that really they know how to make it anyhow 😢hey may just need to remember an ingredient something. I think maybe in a few years the boxes will have enough recipie cards to actually give them..😂

I use those knives as well. Very easy to sharpen as needed as well!
