Maynard was in the air and not in a moving state when Brayshaw ran into him. Correct. I cringed every time I saw that incident (so it was a lot of cringing!). He could have easily side stepped a player running straight at him, especially when he was airborne. Don’t have to be The Chad to do that. Full respect to Brayshaw, but he ran into Maynard …
Maynard targeted Angus, not the other way around. There is absolutely nothing to blame Angus for it's all on Maynard the thug. He blatantly tries to hurt players and ruin their careers, and doesn't give a damn.
Dog act by Collingwood on two Dee players an Sun's player. Remember that "what goes around comes around," - Bombers won and Suns won and there will be more.
Imagine if he did that dog act to a Carlton player, he would be attacked at every opportunity for the next few games. I swear just cause someones career ended because of another player doesnt mean what they did was wrong. Maynard got off at the time and the rules were changed accordingly. Mccarthy practically ended nathan murphys career but does that mean he did anything wrong? Of course not!
Maynard incident was way worse than Murphys. Both unfortunate incidents but in the grannie Murphy put his head down going for the ball and was unlucky. Brawshaw was also unlucky that Maynard went for the smother and executed it horribly. Don’t compare the two incidents.
@barrytalks3531 not comparing the incident itself mate. I'm saying that just because Brayshaw's career ended doesn't mean what maynard did was wrong, he got off which the rule let him at the time. It may be a suspension now but back then it wasn't. Ending someone's career doesn't necessarily make the action wrong. It's About the action itself which is what I'm trying to say
His outlook is circa 1970. I don't want the AFL to revert to bone heads like Mal Brown knocking out opponents with cheap shots. Run them out of the game. Certainly compete hard on the field. But if you want to fight, get into the boxing ring so everyone knows what's expected.
I think the AFL should allow clubs to write off the salary cap hit to incentivise them not to play players with brain injuries. You still have to pay them, so it's not without penalty, but it shouldn't be in the cap.

Sydney get injuries, another team goes on a hot streak of form, the weather on grand final day wreaks havoc, a couple of players get hurt early in the GF, Sydney could do a Richmond of 2018 and have just 1 bad game cost them a gf spot, a lucky bounce of the ball etc.
It's just as of right now they are in the box seat but not guaranteed at all.
@@HeywoodJablowme7 agree dude 100% correct

Maynard was in the air and not in a moving state when Brayshaw ran into him.
Brayshaw should have side stepped Maynard while he was in the air because Maynard can't move side to side or backwards and forwards but no Brayshaw run's directly into him.
These channel 9 football shows all go for the headline because they don't have any credibility and are not closely associated with the game, that's channel 7 and Fox.
Correct. I cringed every time I saw that incident (so it was a lot of cringing!). He could have easily side stepped a player running straight at him, especially when he was airborne. Don’t have to be The Chad to do that. Full respect to Brayshaw, but he ran into Maynard …
I don't know if he could have side stepped but not much Maynard could do once in the air
didnt the afl make a new rule , because of brayshaws ineptability to dodge a clumbsy spoil.
Maynard targeted Angus, not the other way around. There is absolutely nothing to blame Angus for it's all on Maynard the thug. He blatantly tries to hurt players and ruin their careers, and doesn't give a damn.
That's the whole problem with your comment. Maynard was off the ground.
Send the Dees chocolates & flowers
Dog act by Collingwood on two Dee players an Sun's player. Remember that "what goes around comes around," - Bombers won and Suns won and there will be more.
Maynard is a guy you would have in the trenches with you....... But he aint no sniper "lloydy"😂
he’s a thug
@@osvnisaneek8254 only thug that out on the field on kings birthday was Pickett.
He is a drop kick
Imagine if he did that dog act to a Carlton player, he would be attacked at every opportunity for the next few games. Everyone who has played footy and is being honest with themselves knows he lined Brayshaw up from about 20mtrs away. People who back up Maynard are exactly the same as those 'benefit of the doubt' people that say Milne couldn't have stopped that ball and kicked the winning goal. You're lying to yourselves.
Oliver and Gawn hugged Maynard after the game, I was gobsmacked. The guy has priors, he is a thug.
If Melbourne did all that and lost, he’d be trashing their fake macho, saying their heads were stuck in the past, and that they should’ve brought the energy where it mattered. He’s so boring. Compare it with Lloyd, who actually gives substantive analysis. There are bigger issues with Melbourne than performative theatrics.
I completely agree with you on this one. They always have double standards and want it both ways. They know they can get away with consistently doing it aswell.
lloydy has had to pull him up a few times this season. korn just says dumb things to create talk amongst his fellow media heads, who laugh at him.
@@aussieintexas61Hutchy's got a lot blame in this. He loves this type of punditry. It's shocking that Kane is part of official AFL media and on All Australian selection. They can find a better candidate to represent Adelaide.
Spot on and I think Goodwin has to go
@imalwaysright I hate to say it, but I think you're right..
That was a dog act by Moore, who knew exactly what he was doing.
And it wasn't "brave" for Petracca to continue playing; it was foolish for him to be allowed to continue.
What a pathetic comment. All players jump and put knees in the back. Go back to kinder.
COLLLINGWOOOOOOOOOD
Because he brought Brayshaw flowers
I swear just cause someones career ended because of another player doesnt mean what they did was wrong. Maynard got off at the time and the rules were changed accordingly. Mccarthy practically ended nathan murphys career but does that mean he did anything wrong? Of course not!
Actually the incident that ended Murphy's career was a sling tackle from Daicos in training. That was the last straw.
Season over for Melbourne no doubt 👍
The Melbourne players didn’t go after Maynard coz they know that what happened to Bradshaw was a football act - nothing more than an accident
Can’t stand Maynard but he did nothing malicious to Brayshaw. Grow up
Cornes celebrates bad sportsmanship and has no respect for sportsmanship. Says a lot.
His outlook is circa 1970. I don't want the AFL to revert to bone heads like Mal Brown knocking out opponents with cheap shots. Run them out of the game. Certainly compete hard on the field. But if you want to fight, get into the boxing ring so everyone knows what's expected.
I think that he doesn't really understand the value and purpose of sportsmanship. It's almost a sociopathic approach.
Oliver has had NO pre season....ALL IT IS
Surprised Melbourne didn’t really come out breathing fire, they missed a few shots early and after that Collingwood controlled things.
lol are they back to pretending Brayshaw didn’t wear a helmet for a reason and had a history of of concussion prior to Maynard’s attempted smother?

@@PeterM1-qx1tzwith that logic every marking contest that doesn't result in a mark but the knees/legs ECT are high is a automatic suspension 😂
I think the AFL should allow clubs to write off the salary cap hit to incentivise them not to play players with brain injuries. You still have to pay them, so it's not without penalty, but it shouldn't be in the cap.

To be fair Kane’s does his best work when he’s analysing the game… When he scrutinises player contracts and pointed agendas against coaches who have clearly out preformed Ken Hinkley it’s hard to take the rest of what he says seriously..
