The fact that we're talking about "builds cost a lot of money" shows how insane the micro transactions have become. It's just an accepted part of the game that you have to spend a couple hundred on a build when you already spent almost a hundred on the GAME.

So I'm supposed to go into rec and play against 92's for 4 weeks where I can't even compete? My record goes down, then people don't want to play with me because of my record and overall, meanwhile these money spenders have 4 maxed out builds already. Tell me, who do you know that's VERY effective with high win rate on this game that HASN'T bought VC? I'll wait.

Lowest risk build is the one I make every single year. All around sf that can play the 4. Usually 6’8 but this year I may go 6’9 that can do it all. Not looking for hof badges at anything. Silver and gold on most things unless I can push for a few finishing badges on gold or defensive. I play rec and my career more than anything and I’m a versatile player so I gotta be able to do it all
Are you gonna be like a 3 level Threat? I made a 6’10 sf in 24 that could do all. It was basically a KD build that I tweaked to my liking just wished I made him a bit fast 79 speed was to slow for me!

Salute to you man. Only playin 2K online since 18 and this the first vide of this kind I seen. Hopefully this has saved alotta folks from throwin money away. I held off gettin 2K for the first couple months but finally caved.
My fav build I made last year was a 7 foot dunker/defender with 95 pass accuracy. I don’t do the dribble god shit in Rec and shit, I like to play team ball so for me getting like 12/25/12/5 felt so great to be able to do consistently.
Another thing to add is that it maybe best to wait to put VC into a build until the second patch(not the day1 patch) to put VC into it. Most of us have been burned by 2k because they patch certain attributes that then won't be as effective as originally thought, especially as a defender. Smh. 2k probably does this on purpose to have ppl spend more money 😮💨😔😔 It's extremely fatiguing going through that every year to say the least
@@joeldawriter Ultimately that's up to you and how you wanna play the game. Just make a build that you don't mind grinding to 99 first. That way if you do burn a build you at least won't have to grind again and can maybe wait til Halloween when they give some VC to players to put towards the second build. Halloween isn't too far away
A lot of people made trash builds and quit playing 25 already. 🤷🏾♂️ Joe gave everyone that watched this video great advice. My build is perfect, I don’t have any complaints about the MyPlayer builder.
The only thing I think is misleading is (I could be wrong) I think the badge +1 is only gonna be a season reward if I heard them right. So people are only gonna get those for a season.

Stop letting these companies rip you off-it’s crazy to me! It’s already a full priced game.
Yes make lower risk builds first and wait for more info about your next maybe main build, but also consider waiting until rebirth or something like that to maximize your next said build

Maybe I missed it said somewhere in all the 2k25 pre release news, but have they said you also have badges in the build tester? Adding animations is def a W but without badges it feels like you'll still have an incomplete picture if you can't also equip badges (for example, interceptor, chasedown, and reb chaser and others all come with their own moves/animations).

For example, what if you made a build from youtube but find out that most of the attributes are unnecessary in some areas due to soft caps and a lower attribute in that rating would work the exact same. Is this not a concern to consider and isn't it better to wait until the game has been released for some time and then make a build?
Yes however remember it is only for that season, if you want it again you have to grind for the +1 Badge next season (hopefully it doesn't take to long but I doubt that so keep that in mind as well).

The first mistake is not playing regular game modes. For 2k24, I played Kobe’s Era for a week or so. Made my build and was greening everything. I’m glad they added in new players this year. Play that for a week and you’ll come in hot on that first build.
About the badge boosters, ive hear that u claim them through season progression. When season 2 comes around, will i keep my badge boosted and be able to gain more?
I’m making a high risk lock down, I think mini marksman is going to be op as well as agility being a major factor . That being said my lock is going to be 6’3 max speed max agility. Legend onball menace and legend challenger
Your day one build should be basically your test build. I think 2k did alot better with alot of build information before making a build..but not so much on game play. thats where we will meed to adjust
Yall needa make builds that fit your playstyle like me for example i usally play big but i wanna also be able to shoot dribble and finish pretty well but what i see from from most youtubers build is that the rebound is trash so me personally ima lean toward my rebound a little more to play my role

If I use a cap breaker to up that attribute, does my badge level advance as well. Or is it locked at the creation of the build and I have to use the badge +1 in order to up it?
