Nah I wouldn't doubt of Bungie secretly messed with the drop rates because they actually do regret no charging people for dares of eternity. They "over delivered" and that's when people that we were getting free dungeons and stuff.

The weapons are on a rotation for both the chest and dares... So if you run your keys only do three if you get a pardon, shotty stop and save for the next week it's a 3 week cycle

It not a 0% drop rate it’s because Bungie knows you want it so they won’t give it to you. It’s like that with most things. Especially when trying to farm for a specific exotic.

Can confirm. Had to do 72 runs of scourge of the past back in the day cause I wanted Anarchy, but one run of Crown of Sorrow (I didn't really want Terrabah), instantly got it.

For people on here. If you have another character that hasn’t played Dares ever before. Do one. Go to Xur, pick up his quest, use the key on the chest, abandon the quest. Repeat.

I don't understand that and probably messed it up on one of my characters... I got the quest, opened the chest and then I abandoned the Quest but I just can redeem the Engram and it doesn't seem to let me open the chest over and over... what did I do wrong lol

This is why I gave up farming dares for reds. I wound up creating a new class for the sole purpose of farming a BXR.

Just like any other program, random rolls aren't usually random, typically they're rooted in the current time or another variable that might appear random and then maybe processed in some way or another. If you're not getting the roll you want, vary the time you're clicking the engrams or change your instance or something. Usually breaks the streak.

@@updog5664 The first quest line xur gives for dares of eternity. Eventually one of the steps is to open that chest. This gives a guaranteed BR. Delete the quest and you will only get BR until you complete the quest. You can reclaim the quest at the kiosk in the tower by the postmaster.
Yeah I was gonna say, first time I did dares of eternity (just last night), it gave me the BR outta that first check of Xurs. Figured there's no way I was just lucky n likely it was guaranteed on the first one

@@ottdeon Nope. They aren’t rewarding at all nowadays. It was ok in d1 where it was actually difficult to get exotics, nowadays you can get an exotic each session you hop on. It’s just that now it’s a matter of wether or not you’re gonna get the same exotic each time

Theres a glitch If you delete the spoils quest before you complete the last step ( open xurs treasure chest) the treasure chest will always award a bxr because that’s supposed to be the first drop you get from the chest, I just farmed out the red boxes but ended up with 2 good rolls anyway

When Dares first came out, I had no problem getting the BR to drop. Idk if they switched the drop rate on it, or why, but now it’s damn near impossible to get one to drop
