My favourite carol. The singers and musicians make the best carols for me, all have a God given talent to create such beauty in celebrating the most beautiful being ever to walk this earth.
I do agree that women's voices are angelic, but I am totally partial to men voices. But then I never read or heard of female angels. One of the most beautiful rendition of this song, ever.
Does anyone know if this arrangement is by Mack Willberg? I can't find information in the publications about their arrangements. From the style I'm almost sure so.
David's royal city being Bethlehem. Not Jerusalem like the book of mormon says. The lyrics also state "who is God and lord of all" referring to Jesus. All of your false prophets state otherwise. Come to christ and repent. He is the creator of all things one with the Father and Holy Spirit.
This is a superb rendition by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir of "Once in Royal David's City", but the version done by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for the record album, "The Joy of Christmas - Leonard Bernstein, The NY Philharmonic and The Mormon Tabernacle Choir" in September/October 1963 under Director Richard P. Condie was even better because that version of the choir finishes the carol with a beautiful, rising cresendo!
Why would you say things to take away the peace and joy that this season brings? Does it make you feel better somehow? Don't be bitter. Reach out in love to someone that might need it. Soften your heart. We love the very same Jesus, if your Jesus taught to love and help others. Merry Christmas!❤❤

Beautiful. 😇😇😇🙏🙏🙏🎅🎅🎅✌✌✌
A different, and--perhaps--much more gentle, and soft, contemporary version; I actually liked it. 'Zahc'
We sang this

Late reply, but it's arranged by Brian D Petersen. It's my favorite arrangement of this song.

Who is God and Lord of all? Real Mormons don’t believe this.
