This video released almost exactly when I finally achieved dead god and finished isaac. I really want to thank you mattman because without people like you that show how positive it is possible to be while playing a game that can be so infuriating really helped me to push forwards. It always felt so nice that no matter how my day was going I could always look forward to a video of someone just genuinely enjoying their favourite game and that idea is what got me to the end. I wish you the best of luck in everything you do.

@@acyrosriven well there's things that will slow it down then. I've spent so long and put so much pain into a single file in order to display the completed game on steam, I will not be easily swayed to do the same on 2 more files for no extra achievements

i also wanna add some stuff from the item that i couldnt fit in the eid:
it always takes the highest quality item in the room to tumble
if the pool doesnt have any more items of that quality it spawns breakfast, that is intended behaviour
if it doesnt upgrade a q3 to 4 it rerolls the q3 instead

@@SSebstan damocles is just doing its own thing and spawning items from the current room pool, i didnt code anything to synergize with damocles

Hey matt, what tier 4 is the one that feels the least tier 4 to you? Mine is pyromaniac, I mean, even though it gives you healing with explosions there isn't all that much ways to exploit it or make it as useful as all the other items from the tier 4

I feel like Ipecac doesn't get as much love as it deserves, when I started playing Isaac back in WotL it used to be my 3rd favorite after Poly and Brimstone. The fact that you can down hosts with the poison is crazy good

No, it's exactly how he said it works considering that subsequent quality 4s from another pool that had more quality 4s stayed as q4s, but Flip found in the curse room which has no more q4s didn't stay q4

very off topic but they should make 2 transformations where if you get 3 size down items/pills then you can enter curse rooms for free and get a speed up, conversely for 3 size ups, you can destroy rocks and such by walking on then and you get a damage up

If you have Damocles with Rock tumbler, grab a quality 3, and then pop it in the secret room on the next floor, Damocles should give you a quality 4 secret room item as your second item since it takes from the item pool of the current room. I was hoping you would try it 😢
i didnt take damocles into account while coding, it should spawn one q4 (75%) and a random secret room item

current one makes it so you get 33% less stats from the item every subsequent proc for the room
i made it like that because it would be too op on bosses like hush and wouldn't feel like a q2 item

i coded it so it can store only one item for balance reasons, still a misplay by matt tho lol

@@PostalXD yea i never took car battery into consideration while making the item, there is only one variable that stores the item contained so 2 items would be impossible with the current code and i would have to change it to a list to make it work like that

4:36 I think what happened is that damoclese split the item value in half. Like here, it was a quality 4 into two quality 2's.

online achivements dont count for dead god unless you got the steam achivement and press f2 in the stats menu
