Make a lidded bowl for my hair product

I made a lidded box for my DIY hair wax! The hair wax is made with walnut oil which promotes hair growth! As a guy, who doesn't want more hair right?! I actually use the same formula, along with essential oils for a beard balm, and it works and smells wonderfully.
If you have a lathe, this is a fairly simple project to do and can be made from scrap wood.
The most complicated part is making the outer diameter of the lid the right size. I didn't measure the lid exactly, but I did use a caliper to transfer the opening of the bowl to the lid, not knowing the actual measurement size - but you can use other tools for that if that's what you have.

I also use old 2x4's, try ply wood and osb. You willn't believe the reaction when people find out.

I too turn small bowls and boxes from 2x4s. I like the shape and lines of this bowl. Well done. I’m going to make one of these. Have you tried OBs shine juice? You get a bit more shine and chatoyance on pine.

Thanks. I actually made my own version of the shine juice using bees wax, walnut oil and shellac, it seems to do the same kinda thing. I think you're right though, something like that would make this project look even better.

I use to use ob juice. But it turns dull and didn't like what it does to the color of the wood.
