This video was hard to upload! I love to spread joy here on our channel but sometimes real life hits and it isn’t always pretty. This is my real life so all I ask is that you please give me grace as you all usually do. This was not easy to talk through ❤️
New to your channel, and just sending you a 🫂 I use to work with special needs children and we use to make a game out of leaning sign language a couple of words a week,, you seem to be a hand's on Mom with support.may The Most High Keep you close 🙌🏾
You’re a strong awesome mother to your boys and wife to your husband. I have a suggestion. As a hands on, very involved parent maybe you could make a chart of the things you are interested in knowing about his day to day in the classroom and ask the teacher(s) to take a few minutes to leave a comment and check off what you want to know about his experiences during the day. That may help keep your mind at ease a little while keeping an open line of communication until you adjust to all the changes and you guys are comfortable. But, also remember children are resilient and it is natural to be concerned as MaMaBear especially with a child with special needs.🙏🏾🫂 You’ve got this Fam!!!
Ahhhhh baby girl he’s going to be okay🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 you got me crying I know how you feel as a mother as mothers are always worrying that’s what we do! My daughter went to an all white school and I was worried because kids can be mean but she loved it! But when I moved to a different state and she had to go to all black school she wasn’t use to that. She was so nervous and I would ask her every day was she ok at school she would say yes mommy…but now as a adult she tells me she was bullied that piss me off so bad🤬 that’s my baby my one in only I wanted to go back to that school and tell everybody off!!!! But now she don’t play about anything 💪🏾 she had a taste of both worlds
Please give yourself grace. I’m a mom of a 29 son with Down Syndrome and I totally understand how you feel. We moved from NY to Pennsylvania when he was in the third grade. I worked in the school he attended from Kindergarten to second grade so I felt very secure then. I made it a point to introduce myself to the new Principal and all of his teachers at his new school and expressed MY need for consistent communication and they worked with me. It was an adjustment to get through transferring the trust but we made it through. If you feel like something is concerning you, don’t feel bad to speak up. Ask to keep a communication notebook with his teachers for weekly updates. You’re doing an awesome job! I’m here if you have questions or need some mommy support❤
I appreciate you for sharing your experience. This is very helpful. I will definitely try to connect with all of his teachers as I really do want them to know who I am and how much I careabout Nasim’s growth. I believe this connection amongst all of us will truly benefit everyone. I’m hopeful we will get to a place of more peace.Again, Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey mommy just want to say from the outside looking in, u r doing the right things with your son. As a retired Educator your son will let u no in his own way if things r not going well for him at school. And who would know better than his own mom. Just watch the signs. But his going to do just fine. Watch his developmental skills blossom over time because he is interacting with other students. P.S. u r a great mom. Keep your head up. ❤
I’ve watched yall for years and I can definitely see the kind of parents you and Ahmad are. Nasim is our internet nephew 😂 and I wish him all the best in his new school. Maybe some of his sweet personality yall taught him will rub off on those who don’t understand him and may be mean! Keep your head up and pray for the best. He will be fine. 🤎🤗
Yes!!!! Love you continue support for not only us as a whole but for Nasim as well. Yes, his personality definitely carries him a long way and I too hope it continues that way. 😊
JESSICA, YOU'RE EMOTIONS JUST SHOWS HOW MUCH YOU LOVE HIM AND WANT THE BEST FOR HIM, IT WILL GET BETTER AS HE GET USE TO THE NEW TEACHERS AND CLASSMATES, YOU AND AHMAD HAVE ALWAYS PUT YOUR CHILDREN FIRST. I UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE COMMUNICATION AND A JOURNAL MIGHT BE HELPFUL FOR THE TEACHER AND YOU TO HAVE GOOD COMMUNICATIONS ABOUT NASIM. I PRAY THAT GOD GIVES YOU PEACE THROUGHOUT ALL THINGS. MAY GOD'S BLESSINGS BE WITH YOUR FAMILY ALWAYS. 🙂🙏🏽✝️♥️
I totally understand I work with kids with downs and I see the parents and care providers. When their child starts school it's just a emotional event but trust once he gets comfortable and you guys to it be so easy and hearing all his stories and home work and how he will change into a different kid being at school. Side note give his vitiams and keep his immune good due to schools be germs
Thank you for your insight as well as your encouragement. Much appreciated! ❤️And guess we’ll definitely be trying to get ourselves nice and healthy because the germs are flowing right now! 🤪
Mom guilt can be sooo hard especially when we know our kids are starting off in a new environment with new people. It’s nerve wracking even for us adults to do !! Just know you are a great mom doing the absolute best thing for Nasim. He is a great kid and you guys are a great family who will adjust to this change. He will make new friends and develop new relationships with his new teachers with time ❤
I love yall. You had me at work crying....You guys are the best parents ever. I pray that God continues to give you guidance and wisdom...And I pray Bountiful blessings over the family!! ❤
You truly have a mother’s Heart, And God gave your sons the best Mom and Dad in the world. Your son will adjust just fine because he knows he is loved and safe... you and your husband are the best advocate for him.. I’m proud of you. Keep your head up high , you’re doing a splendid job with your family. I’m praying for you all..
Jessica, I'm sending you a great big hug. And, it's okay to cry about it. You love your firstborn, and you want nothing but the best for him(both of your children). Sending you and the family much love❤❤ God Bless 🙏🏾🫶🏾
Bless you hun my sons 8 non verbal autism and it was so hard letting him start a special needs school but hes doing amazing but it dont stop us worrying or stressing doing amazing ❤
You’re such an amazing mother honestly. I’ve been watching you since your very first video. The fact you feel the way you do shows the love and care you have for your son. Keep your head up because yes you are doing your best and I don’t doubt that no matter the obstacle you and your family will overcome them. I admire you so much ❤
Hi Jessica! I completely understand how you feel ❤ My son is on the autism spectrum (7 years old and I live in the Metro Detroit area too 😊) and it’s so hard sometimes 😢 I’m praying for you guys and I hope Nasim truly enjoys his new school.
Wow! I felt your emotions too. IMO, What you and Ahmad are feeling is a mother's and father's love. It's something you feel when you become parents, deeper love you feel about your children. I pray nothing but the best for your children and God protects and guides them to achieve the desires of their hearts. This was such a touching video. May GOD continue to guide you and Ahmad to raise your children in the love and admonition of the Lord. Amen
You all are doing an amazing job Jessica. I admire your transparency with your whole family's story. Ive watched you all grow for years and we love you guys!🎉
Awwwww ...trust God. Nasim will be fine. He is learning independence and it will help him each year to grow into his own. Nasim & Cairo have Awesome parents! ❤
Jessica!!! I wish I could reach through the screen and give you a big hug. You’re such an amazing mom, creating a safe space for your family to feel and express their emotions. You’ve given him the tools he needs, and that’s such a beautiful gift. It’s not silly at all to have these feelings, you will find they will continue even as our children grow into adulthood. 🥰
You are an amazing mother and what you are feeling is understandable. Keep loving him the way that you do and taking care of your son the way that you feel is best for you and him. Much love ❤
Awe! Take it day by day and please give yourself some grace.his graceful is sufficient for you. You have done an amazing job. Transition is never comfortable but you will get through this Jessica. I will be sending up prayers for you and your family. ❤
y'all are doing so great. i imagine Nasim will grow to instill boundaries when he's uncomfortable even if he can't vocalize his feelings all the time. And thankfully he has family who will advocate for him as well. He's an amazing kid
I totally understand. My 3 year old has a speech delay, and he hasn't gone to daycare or anything, but I'm homeschooling and plan on homeschooling until he doesn't want to. Im so afraid to send him to school because he doesn't right now have the ability to tell me how his day went. But with God, all things are possible and I God covers him. He has improved so much especially since he has his one year old brother who he adores. So know that God is covering Nasim. But know you're not alone. I have my moments and I talk to God about it.
Of course, you know, I completely understand your point of view. Do what’s best for you and him. I appreciate the encouragement and I’m wishing you all the best as well. 😊❤️
Hi, Jessica. Awww, Just wanted to say that you're an amazing mom... your kids couldn't have asked for a better mother than you! and Ahmad is the greatest dad ever as well... God chose the both of you to be their parents and trust me. He knew exactly what he was doing, your doing an amazing job, grasp a hold of that and don't let it go. sending love, light and peace ya'lls way ❤️😌✨️🙌🏽🤗
As a mom I feel you, and no it's not silly this will be an adjustment period for you all..and a mothers heart is huge and we never stop thinking and wondering and praying that our babies are ok, because we are in protect mode and indeed want the best for our kids and want them to be happy. Just keep on being the loving mom that you are and it'll continue to get better..maybe there's some kind of creative way that you and Nasim can communicate about his day based on whatever questions you have, or maybe you can do a weekly check in with he and his teacher. But this is so understandable..you are human and you are allowed to feel whatever you need to feel 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽 we support yall 💞
Thanks so much! Also, I like the idea of coming up, but with a communication system for us. I’ll definitely be sure to brainstorm some ideas that would work for us ❤️❤️❤️
Hey, Basin will be ok. What you are feeling is how any good mom would feel. Do a drop in to check on him and to assure yourself that he's alright. I'm praying for you all. Trust God and He will always steer you right. Pray over your kids before they leave the house. My prayer is that God will dispatch His angels all around Nasim and keep a hedge of protection around him. You guys are a beautiful couple and I thank you for being transparent and sharing your life with us. Stay strong and God got you all. Love you guys and praying for you!😊
Jessica your heart is so beautiful and your love for Nasim has been a joy to watch. I started crying at the beginning of this video, I could feel your heart and the concern for how Nasim’s first day was going. 😢💔 Nasim is such a blessing! He has blessed me tremendously watching him grow up on your channel. His life is impacting others and has affected me. 🥹He’s blessed to have you as his mother! 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽
I understand how you feel about your son That's a mom that is concerned about his well being you have a right to cry and don't worry about people on TH-cam that's your son just keep giving all the love.
That’s the heart and that heart is connected to your child. Hearts tend to show off sometime and it’s nothing we can do about it. 🥰 🙂 I pray each day gets better. Hugs! AND NO APOLOGIES NEEDED.
You are doing an amazing job, just the fact that you are paying attention and care about knowing how he is adjusting says a lot. Our kiddos have different diagnoses, but as a parent with a kiddo you have to advocate for with a communication barrier as part of their diagnosis, it's HARD! We don't know if we're making the right decisions for them, I don't know that we will ever know or how we measure it. So we count the small wins, like showing him how to read the recipe for my favorite cookies and coming home to him making a not-so-attractive version of oatmeal scotchies.
I know the pain of sending them off to a new environment and especially when you can’t be with him..But you can be sure to pray that his day will be a safe and happy day. We are praying for you too..❤👍🏽🙏🏽😇
Hello Jessica, i use to watch YOU when YOU & AHMAD 1st Met. And over timei kinda fell out of touch. But i just wanted to say that I'm so glad that i found you AGAIN❤️.... And I just wanted to Add that YOU ARE AN AMAZING, PATIENT, and KIND, might I add an INTELLIGENT WOMAN.👍🏾 And EVERYTHING IS GOING TO WORK OUT SWEETIE, YOU JUST WATCH... I'm so,so PROUD OF BOTH YOU '& PAPA, Just KNOW it's gonna get better Babygirl #DontGiveUpGodsGotYall🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️💞😍👊🏾
It’s normal to have these emotions and concerns. Maybe try asking general questions like how was day and what was the best part. Ask him if anything was hard then maybe ask him specific questions based on his school schedule to get more of an understanding and make this an everyday conversation so gets used to it and will be able to express more.
It’s OK my girl he will be fine. You guys is gonna have a great year. Keep your head up mommy. I know it’s hard for you as well but you got this. You’re doing a great job you and your husband with the boys.
Awe don’t feel ashamed to express this is a safe space but I know that there are trolls but we will just block them. Follow your heart and stomach and you will never be wrong.
Thank you for your words of encouragement and reassurance. And you’re absolutely correct. This is definitely a safe place and that is why we love our community here. 😊❤️
You are amazing mom what I can see but give your self some grace I understand what you are going through I have a nephew that is 21 and he doesn't talk so trust me I understand the tears but God got you and sweet baby boy
Jessica we all have to adjust to changes. Take one day at a time. Nothing can replace the love that you give your family. You and Ahmad are doing a great job raising your boys. Nassim will adjust since kids do that sometimes better than we do as adults.
You have the right to feel like you do you guys are your son advocate so you make the decision that's will help him for the long term I wish I could give you a hug but know it will get better
Jessica, I totally understand your concern for Nasim and his interactions with his village. He's going to surprise you. He's going to be amazing. It's ok for you to be overwhelmed😢 Sweetie, I have a non-verbal 2 year old autistic granddaughter who recently started school. I would love to be able to ask questions about her day. I'm trusting in God for her ability to communicate soon. I'm praying for you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 I love you to life 💞💖💞
Thank you for sharing your story! I appreciate your understanding and your granddaughter is so lucky to have a loving grandmother like you. Wishing you both all the best ✨😊
Give yourself some grace. Everything about you says that you love and want the best for your son. Ask God for direction. It will get better. Just trust God for all things
It doesn't sound silly at all. My special needs son is in 2nd grade now, and with every challenging day, I question my choices. It is rough sometimes but the good days help validate the fact that I am doing the best.
It's so important to let yourself feel these emotions. New normals are hard. Nasim has great support in his parents, and you'll know what's working and what's not. Pivot and adjust as needed. You got this!
Bless your heart your baby is in the best hands the hands of God he will protect him and cover him he has the best parents who love him to dealth as long as you stay on top of things and let the teachers see how hands on you are with him and that he is so loved and blessed they will do so to. Much 💘
Hopefully this is encouraging. God knows and he wants you/s to depend on him. My children are grown now and honestly we all need that security. Tell them what you need. Tell God what you need. We have emotions and its OK to use them. His grace is sufficient for you. I just meeting your family. I have a grandson with special needs and he will be 27 next month.
Hi Jessica, I’ve been watching you since day one and you and Ahmad are awesome parents. I hope you feel like this platform is a safe haven for you to express and share with us how you feel. Your thoughts feelings and emotions are safe with us. Have you ever considered filling out the All About Me Form from your DSC and giving it to Nasim’s teacher, just a thought. This might be a useful resource for her to get to know Nasim a little more intimately. Please don’t think I’m trying in anyway to tell you what to do just a friendly suggestion.😊 Nasim is going to be just fine, he’s such a precious little man and God is watching over HIS CHILD!🙏🏽 Just keep being the parents you are and follow your instincts. We live and learn each day. Blessings and Love to You and Your Beautiful Family!🙏🏽❤
Kyro your favorite thing is PawPatrol!! lol Prayers for you sugg for strength strategy and peace as you continue to get accustomed to your new journey 🥰
The Love you have for your son you just want to protect him i pray God cover Naseem i can felt your emotion i cried with you i pray he had a good day at school God Bless your family.
You know people that have disabilities are the smartest humans being and hard workers I'm from Cuba and my English is not that good I still don't care about what people say my English language God bless you and your family.
J&A AW Now I’m crying !! (IMO) Your emotional b/c ur a caring person and it’s ur Son u want the best for him like u said it’s his first day GOD chose u and Ahmad to b his parents so b/c he chose u guys he will get u through it so giv ur self Grace no apologies needed u both r n protective mode and that’s ok Stay N Prayer u guys r my internet grand kids I support y’all We will get through this together ! I love ur Family 💯❤
I said that about the food and glass right before you did lol. I’m a hypochondriac, so I would have been worried the whole time we ate. I would have started fresh also.
Maybe you can ask the teacher if you can watch him from a distance where he can't see you at least 1/2 of the day. That's what I did to make me feel a little comfortable.
Trust God with him and all things concerning him. I have seen God move in ways that are beyond our expectations. He is a miracle worker. Please know that there is nothing to hard for him. Praying for you and your family.
Make sure y'all get Nasim a IEP with a plan to better help him with speech and other therepy he may need like physical therapy if need it .and make sure Nasim gets the best quality of education for his learning needs to
It’s OK my girl he will be fine. You guys is gonna have a great year. Keep your head up mommy. I know it’s hard for you as well but you got this. You’re doing a great job you and your husband with the boys.

And I just wanted to Add that YOU ARE AN AMAZING, PATIENT, and KIND, might I add an INTELLIGENT WOMAN.👍🏾
And EVERYTHING IS GOING TO WORK OUT SWEETIE, YOU JUST WATCH...
I'm so,so PROUD OF BOTH YOU '& PAPA, Just KNOW it's gonna get better Babygirl
#DontGiveUpGodsGotYall🙏🏾🙏🏾❤️💞😍👊🏾
It’s normal to have these emotions and concerns. Maybe try asking general questions like how was day and what was the best part. Ask him if anything was hard then maybe ask him specific questions based on his school schedule to get more of an understanding and make this an everyday conversation so gets used to it and will be able to express more.
Aww sweet Jessica. You are such a good mom. It’s okay to cry. I’m praying for you and your family on this new journey. ❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate you and your prayers! 😊
It’s OK my girl he will be fine. You guys is gonna have a great year. Keep your head up mommy. I know it’s hard for you as well but you got this. You’re doing a great job you and your husband with the boys.
I'm praying that you and Nasim will get everything done that makes you two comfortable. Sending hugs
You are a great mom and doing a great job! ❤
Father God bless this family in the mighty name of Jesus amen!
I'm praying for you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I love you to life 💞💖💞
Thank you for sharing your story! I appreciate your understanding and your granddaughter is so lucky to have a loving grandmother like you. Wishing you both all the best ✨😊
Keep praying for him every day 🙏🏽 ❤️ 💙
Give yourself some grace.
Blessings Jessica Ahmad and your sons❤️🙏
Thank you!
It's so important to let yourself feel these emotions. New normals are hard. Nasim has great support in his parents, and you'll know what's working and what's not. Pivot and adjust as needed. You got this!
I appreciate your kind words of reassurance and encouragement! We will for sure adjust as needed. Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️
You both are awesome parents!
Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Bless your heart your baby is in the best hands the hands of God he will protect him and cover him he has the best parents who love him to dealth as long as you stay on top of things and let the teachers see how hands on you are with him and that he is so loved and blessed they will do so to. Much 💘
I really truly appreciate the encouragement and well wishes! Thank you so much! 😊
Please don’t think I’m trying in anyway to tell you what to do just a friendly suggestion.😊
Nasim is going to be just fine, he’s such a precious little man and God is watching over HIS CHILD!🙏🏽
Just keep being the parents you are and follow your instincts. We live and learn each day.
Blessings and Love to You and Your Beautiful Family!🙏🏽❤

I said that about the food and glass right before you did lol. I’m a hypochondriac, so I would have been worried the whole time we ate. I would have started fresh also.
I’m right there with you! lol You can’t be too sure! Better to be safe! 😊
Maybe you can ask the teacher if you can watch him from a distance where he can't see you at least 1/2 of the day. That's what I did to make me feel a little comfortable.
Great job mommy, your so amazing
