a couple days ago my poppy died he had cancer all through he's body and had a brain tumer he could not remember anything and was not eating or talking. he did not make it to chrismas and it has not hit me yet that he is really dead and i miss him so much.

Colby, the fact that you have been in a dark room feeling down, having negative thoughts, being insecure, and not wanting to go anywhere before is terrible, but the fact that you know how to get out of it is incredible. right now especially, i am 13 struggling with my mental health. i didn't know how to get out of the same situations you have been through. ive tried therapy, counseling, and medicine. nothing worked until a couple years ago i found the channel "Sam and Colby." it changed my life genuinely. i cant explain how much i love you all. i had to accomplish something and that was a thing that made me happy. you, sam, corey, jake, and elton are the only thing so far that has helped me accomplish that. yes i know im a 13 year old girl that is saying some of her personal life but i feel that is it important for people to know that you need to find a role model. not a role model as of what you want to be when you grow up but how their perspective in life is impacting yours. everyone i know personally says im mature for my age but that is because i already have my role model(s), Sam and Colby. they havent physically been in my life but they mentally have. I absolutely adore the relationship between Sam and Colby . They have a really strong bond and it keeps reminding me that there are still genuinely good people out there and you just have to be careful with who you choose to let in to your life. TRIGGER WARNING KINDA Rewatching this now, two years later, it’s so crazy to me how much two random TH-camrs have impacted our lives so much. Sam and Colby have saved so many of us and in almost every video they say the don’t know what they did to deserve fans like us. They literally saved us. They’re so open to the camera about their lives and struggles and that literally saved me from a deep depression from when I was 12 (15 now). this is literally the same way i feel. i really don't have anyone in my life to talk to and i honestly dont know who my real and fake friends are. and this is so true this past year ive been in a really dark place and sam and colby hae been really the only people that has helped me stay where i am and not just dropped. ive never thought about certain things untill august 3rd 2023 and was going threw that untill really december 13th 2023 where i realy fell in love with the content and meaning of their duo channel as well as their solo channels. they have helped me so much in this small two months i mean when i wake up in the morning i watch them when im in school i watch them when i feel alone when i feel hurt i watch them. im thankful for them more than anyone could ever understand in my life
That is how I am too and I am 42-year-old woman. This has become my coping mechanism unfortunately (I recognize it's not a healthy one mentality, but it's hard to break). I was bullied very badly in elementary school. Of course, I was scared of talking about being bullied in fear of making it worse. Then, I worried about the judgement and being downplayed for it...which I know would make me feel worse. Soon, I was worried about someone using this information against me in the future. Then, I would be worried about being a burden on my loved ones. Finally, and this came about as an adult, I kept quiet in fear of being put in a mental institution (which might be instinct given that people used to be put into mental institutions for having depression in general and mental institutions were shit places because of the neglect as well as the abuse). In Sweden though, which I moved to from Maryland, you can volunteer to be put in a psych ward and you can't be forced into one there. Having said that...because I kept my mouth shut about the bullying, I started keeping quiet whenever anything in my life happened. It's second nature for me to do that now, but I realized how bad it is. However, I understand why people don't want to open up about what's going on...especially since I still do it even if I'm trying to break myself of it.
U said u wanted to hear stories so here’s mine , I was about 13-14 my mom was going through a lot with work, abuse (physically) , she was always a bit of a pushover and never talked back, my mom had asked one day tht everyone goes on a walk to the beach which was about 3 miles away from our house ( trigger warning ⚠️ ) and after we got back from our walk we had saw my mom dead on the floor, and the police and hospital had to come and everyone saw and it got around school and the neighborhood,it was a very traumatizing time in my life for me, and I wish she was still here now but tht is my story ( plz make Colby notice)💗

This personal side of Colby is something that I just relate to like on a personal level because most of the things he talked about in this video is like legitimate thing that I have gone through. I lost my grandma not to long ago and I just put myself in this like personal isolation where I just wouldn't talk to anyone for weeks on end. This video has shown me that I'm not the only one who goes through these thing and that I'm not alone. Colby Brock you are the person that I look up to the most. Thank you so much for being who you are. You are beautiful and amazing and I wouldn't want you any other way.
Does anyone else feel that nobody in the entire world would understand what you are going through except for Colby? There's SO much I related to between the anxiety to the point of throwing up, just wanting to be by myself and in my own space when there's people around, losing loved ones to cancer and being there after death. I also wanted to add, with the part about relationships, being completely focused on another person is being dependent on them. Not being able to be happy without them is codependent and living your own lives while being together is being independent. I felt all of that.

this is literally the same way i feel. i really don't have anyone in my life to talk to and i honestly dont know who my real and fake friends are. and this is so true this past year ive been in a really dark place and sam and colby hae been really the only people that has helped me stay where i am and not just dropped. ive never thought about certain things untill august 3rd 2023 and was going threw that untill really december 13th 2023 where i realy fell in love with the content and meaning of their duo channel as well as their solo channels. they have helped me so much in this small two months i mean when i wake up in the morning i watch them when im in school i watch them when i feel alone when i feel hurt i watch them. im thankful for them more than anyone could ever understand in my life
That is how I am too and I am 42-year-old woman. This has become my coping mechanism unfortunately (I recognize it's not a healthy one mentality, but it's hard to break). I was bullied very badly in elementary school. Of course, I was scared of talking about being bullied in fear of making it worse. Then, I worried about the judgement and being downplayed for it...which I know would make me feel worse. Soon, I was worried about someone using this information against me in the future. Then, I would be worried about being a burden on my loved ones. Finally, and this came about as an adult, I kept quiet in fear of being put in a mental institution (which might be instinct given that people used to be put into mental institutions for having depression in general and mental institutions were shit places because of the neglect as well as the abuse). In Sweden though, which I moved to from Maryland, you can volunteer to be put in a psych ward and you can't be forced into one there. Having said that...because I kept my mouth shut about the bullying, I started keeping quiet whenever anything in my life happened. It's second nature for me to do that now, but I realized how bad it is. However, I understand why people don't want to open up about what's going on...especially since I still do it even if I'm trying to break myself of it.

U said u wanted to hear stories so here’s mine , I was about 13-14 my mom was going through a lot with work, abuse (physically) , she was always a bit of a pushover and never talked back, my mom had asked one day tht everyone goes on a walk to the beach which was about 3 miles away from our house ( trigger warning ⚠️ ) and after we got back from our walk we had saw my mom dead on the floor, and the police and hospital had to come and everyone saw and it got around school and the neighborhood,it was a very traumatizing time in my life for me, and I wish she was still here now but tht is my story ( plz make Colby notice)💗

This personal side of Colby is something that I just relate to like on a personal level because most of the things he talked about in this video is like legitimate thing that I have gone through. I lost my grandma not to long ago and I just put myself in this like personal isolation where I just wouldn't talk to anyone for weeks on end. I also wanted to add, with the part about relationships, being completely focused on another person is being dependent on them. Not being able to be happy without them is codependent and living your own lives while being together is being independent. I felt all of that.
